It also looks like Kelly had some problem at his house the week before as well. This was a little blurb in the local news section of the Vindy.
ATV rider injured
CANFIELD — The Canfield Joint Fire District responded to an emergency call to Kelly Pavlik’s property Sunday.
An EMS crew was called to Sugarbush Drive about 8:30 p.m. after someone called to report an all-terrain-vehicle accident.
Deputy Chief Don Hutchinson said the person on the vehicle was not Pavlik. One person was injured, but Hutchinson was unable to provide a name or say if the person was taken to the hospital.
And here is a comment that was posted about what happened.
I hope that one day the truth will come out about the ATV rider article. I heard from an eye witness that it was not an ATV - but a 4 person type off road vehicle - owned by Pavlik himself. He indeed was the driver of the off road vehicle. 2 people were injured and taken to the ER room via amblance. Just because he is your so called "home town" hero... does not give him the right to get away or cover up his mistakes. Two lives could have been taken that night.. and all he is worried about is covering up his mistakes - what a "hero"

Only way this guy could take a pavlik bare fisted punch without needing medical treatment is if kelly was extremely drunk or the guy has an iron chin
kellys a cool guy, shouldnt sacrifice his personal life completely for the sport. So the man likes a drink or 10 as long as he can make weight and isnt harming anyone around him whats the deal.
Vernon and arturo both just got murdered, tyson rapes women....in comparision kellys drink issue is nothing!
I do hope Pavlik fights Mora. Then knocks his head clean off, about 5 rows back. Then punches his remaining trunk of a carcass right in the testicles before it hits the canvas. :p
No offence intended, Diane.
Pavlik seems to be getting a lot of attention lately and none of it for boxing. This sounds like one of those stories where neither side is being totally honest. If Pavlik is in a bar then people should leave him alone, but you will always get one wise guy who just won't take no for an answer. A punch in the balls is what happens. If that is the case, then you can't get too angry with Pavlik.
If this is true then it is truly Mike Tyson worthy.
Whether it's ALL true or not remains to be seen but two things are for sure, Cappitte (guy who said he got his nuts crunched) is a roid rage idiot who EXAGGERATES and two that Kelly needs to eat and sleep boxing like his younger days before the sport passes him by. I've told him before it's family, then boxing to forget all the blood and money sucking leaches. Kelly will come out of this just fine, but TEAM PAVLIK needs to wake up and do their job and thats protecting the name and integrity of Kelly Pavlik. A microscope is placed on Kelly the minute he leaves his driveway, their are haters here in youngstown towards Kelly and it shouldn't be up to Kel to deal with thats TEAM PAVLIKS job. When we go out people constantly want pics or autographs and he rarely declines but theirs always one idiot who wants to make their voice heard, we as friends make it our point to shut that voice up without Kelly even knowing and stop things before they start. TAKE NOTES TEAM PAVLIK!!!
Good. At least I now know that sucker Pavlik is still alive. I thought he had retired after the Hopkins fight or something. But seriously, he needs to fight in the ring, more often and stay out of trouble. That was what I liked about him was his relatively good nature and background.
Police: No evidence boxer Kelly Pavlik assaulted man in club
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS (CP) – 7 hours ago
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Police say they have found no evidence that WBC middleweight boxing champion Kelly Pavlik and his trainer assaulted a man in a nightclub last weekend in Pavlik's hometown of Youngstown.
No charges have been filed.
Youngstown police chief Jimmy Hughes said Tuesday the initial investigation into a report filed by 45-year-old Ronald Cappitte of Boardman has turned up no corroborating evidence.
Cappitte alleges he walked up to Pavlik in a bar about 11 p.m. Saturday, said, "Hi," and was punched in the groin. A police report says he fell, got up and was punched repeatedly in the body by Pavlik and trainer Jack Loew.
Loew said the incident "got so blown out of proportion."
He said Kelly and Cappitte have been friends for years.
"They were goofing around and the next thing I know he lunges at Kelly and grabs him by the neck, and Kelly thinks they're still playing. He's laughing around. And my wife says to me, 'Jack, I don't think this kid is playing around anymore.' And I stepped between them."
Loew said he and Pavlik had just arrived at the East Side Civics club. The two had been at an amateur boxing show that was a fundraiser for Pavlik's gym, the Southside Boxing Club, where the boxer trains.
"There was not one punch thrown," Loew said. "We were having a great time. We just got there."
"I'm 49 years old. I got no use to be rumbling on bar floors. Things are going too good for me these days to be doing that."
Loew said several other people at the bar got into a scuffle after he pulled Pavlik away.
John D'Altorio Sr., one of Pavlik's publicists and friends, said Pavlik and Cappitte were "horsing around" and things got a little out of hand. He said Pavlik frequents the club and is very popular.
As for Loew, "Jack was trying to break things up," D'Altorio said.
Pavlik has held the WBC middleweight title since September 2007 and has successfully defended his title twice, most recently in February with a ninth-round TKO over Marco Rubio in Youngstown.
