I also went out for the fight. Its a gamble when you pay so much to go out there. But would you of complained if Pacquiao fought a shocking fight?

To be honest I would have, I went there as a boxing fan not a Hatton or Pacquiao fan. The difference was Hatton had made all kind of promises of what he could do & instead he looked worse than I've ever seen him. People say reverted to type, but IMO the only type he reverted to was the kid who came into the gym the first time. Even against Mayweather where he ended up being systematically annihalated, he at least actually fought as good a fight as he was capable of IMO. The thing is I just can't see a situation where Pacquiao would of fought that poorly. Hatton knows how to fight, but he chose not to, & for me that is as much a disrespect to the fans as what Witter did. Just because he got laid out doesn't mean he gave it all he's got
Witter has always blown hot and cold but that was the worst version i've ever seen - he is clearly shot to bits.
Did anyone actually hear him say "stop the fight?" I thought Dominic Ingle (his trainer) pulled him out.. that was the right decision considering how terrible he looked. I was expecting him to get sparked out any minute.
As Skel said, that loss has absolutely no bearing whatsoever on Hatton's blatant ducking of him. It doesn't matter whether or not Hatton would have beat him, it's the fact he CHOSE not to even prove it, even though he had total control of the situation.
yeah he looked crap last night and quit... always been a fan of Witters and he has been ducked by hatton and its prob time for him to call it a day now.....
he'd still beat Khan imo because he was connecting with shots last night that khan would not be able to walk through ;)
To be honest I think he would struggle with Khan or any other decent Light-Welter. Khan keeps a higher guard then Alexander & I think Witter would get messed up swinging & get caught with flurries. If Alexander threw faster combos he would have had him out of there in the 5th Round. Hell, if he'd fought either Ortiz or Alvarado he'd probably have got KO'd in about the 3rd round. Maybe a Witter fight just became more attractive for Hatton ;)
Many fighters have had much worse injuries like broken hands, arms out of sockets and have gone on to win. Witter did not even give it a go "Oh my elbow" fuck off mate, you just threw what was left of your career down the shitter. Good job
Maybe it's just me but I don't want to see Hatton in the ring with that boob. Win or lose Ricky is a warrior, and fighting this guy who doesn't even know how to take 1/4th the beating Hatton does just stinks to me.
I know Hatton wants to go out on a win, but tbh I'd rather see RIck fight a good opponent and get blasted, going out on his shield, then making this Witter guy some $$$ who shouldn't even be in the ring with Ricky. Ricky won't get any credit for it, at least from me, beating up a guy who just quit. Jmo guys. But with that said it would be funny to watch Hatton kick this guy from pillar to post an make him quit.
Maybe I'm too hard on Witter; that was the 1st I saw him fight last night, but he made my stomach turn.
It was just a disappointing card, which is strange to me. Because you would think two fighters like Junior Witter, Nate Campbell. Knowing that there not getting any younger and probably won't get, anymore chances would try with everything they have.
Yet Junior Witter just quit and its not like, he was taking a beating either. Yes he took a few hard shots where he got wobbled. But the last 2 rounds he was basically just being defensive, then he just quits so randomly. I've never ever been a Junior Witter fan, but i expected more from him.
And as for Nate Campbell i agree the fight should of been, a NC but its not like he looked like he wanted to carry on either. And he knows he was losing headbutt or not he was losing, and to me he looked slow and not sharp at all.
He doesn't belong at Jr Welterweight and i doubt, he will get a rematch either so it looks like both mens career's are over.
Hatton wont fight him, not even on the back of that shocker.. his main excuse over the past couple of years has been "i'm not giving Witter a payday".. so should he fight hiim now it will make him look like a complete and utter mug.
Khan on the other hand... as there was no Brit TV they can play up the elbow injury excuse
More likely though Witter will go back to the Brit/Euro title.. A fight with Paul McClosky was on the cards before last night.
Maybe Witter has improved his chance of fighting Khan now by quitting.:)
The thing is no one really knows who the fuck Witter is i mean that was the first time alot of the Americans have seen him like Legion when he has been world champ before and fought in the States, I cant see Sky agreeing for Khan to fight Witter with him bringing nothing to the table.
