I heard Bernard Hopkins said he would fight Williams...don't know at what weight though.
Hopkins would fight Williams in a phone booth at any weight
Daxx - What do you mean by this? I dont think Hopkins would fight anyone in a phone booth because as soon as he runs into trouble he will need room to flop around and fake low blows........Just calling you out to here your opinion....
Re: What does Williams have to do to get a fight?
Nobody wants to fight him because there is nothing to gain by fighting him
The guy is recognised within most pro boxing circuits as one of the if not THE premiere boxing talent right now in the sport. But he doesnt bring that pantomime jones esque circus with him and very similar to calzaghe PW is gonna simply have to earn his stripes the hard way by just about beating everyone around him.
PW beats mosley, pacquiao, cotto at 147, de la hoya, kirkland, angulo at 154 and pavlik, abraham and winky at 160 ive no doubts about it!!
Re: What does Williams have to do to get a fight?
pAUL wILLIAMS IS HIS OWN BIGGEST ENEMY....hE IS ALWAYS TALKING HOW HE IS THE MOST FEARED FIGHTER IN BOXING...HIS PEOPLE CRYING abt how no one wants to fight him:rolleyes:....
Williams insist on certain fights only....Well if the person you are seeking is not available look for someone else.....Not ecery fight is a title fight or big name fight.,.....So sit around and insist that you only fight the elite for top payadays and as they fall through for one reason or another....as you navoid paydays against top 10 contenders your years dwindle by you your bank account gets smaller and when you do start getting fights your not the fighter you once were......You end up embaressed....EG- The Quintana fight!!!!!!!!!
Williams has a title at 154...defend it........stop crying abt guys like Pavlik etc and fights falling through and go to work........
He is his own biggest enemy......
Better to make 10 million in 5 fights against second tier comp then 3 million against 1 top level fighter........Especially because the first big fight Williams loses he will have one hell of a time getting another....If ever.....
The Quintana fight many dismiss as an unprepared Paul Williams.....The next loss will make people think Williams is not all he is made out to be

Williams claimed he can't get a fight Hopkins has stated in public interviews he will fight him......Hopkins will not duck anyone and if he says he wioll fight you he means it.....

Hopkins isn't really a phone booth type of fighter. As for any weight, I don't see Hopkins dropping below 168 as I'm not sure it would be physically possible for him to do so. However, Bernard isn't afraid of any challenge. The fact that at his age he keeps taking the hardest challenges out there has nothing but my utmost respect.
