Re: Calzaghe was right about Froch
I'll be shocked if Kessler DOESN'T KO Froch. He's gonna be bouncing tons of bombs into him
That's a maximum bet job, seriously
Re: Calzaghe was right about Froch
I'm pretty sure the kess froch fight is going to be a lot like kessler andrade, except I don't think froch will make it to see 12. Froch is a bit more akward then andrade and isn't quite as slow but his defence is just as crappy and I'm pretty sure kess hit andrade with like 400 shots to the face, froch isn't going to be able to take it. As for the froch dirrel fight I watched it on a crappy stream, sloppy as hell fight, dirrel did a lot of holding and Froch is a dirty mofo but Dirrel won by a few rounds I thought easy.
Re: Calzaghe was right about Froch
Calzaghe would of schooled Froch has they ever met.
Froch might of been awarded the win because he clinched less though.
Re: Calzaghe was right about Froch
Joe would have made him look silly big time.

Froch & his bandwagon of buffoons did. No one else.
The only reason Joe could be considered ducking was because he was taking on household names and making a truck load rather than a pitence against Froch in comparison.
Im not a big froch fan but i know that frochs management and promoter offered calzaghe a 5million purse which was rejected 2 or 3yrs ago. Now,if JC thought Froch was out of his league and was so confident of beating him, why didnt he make himself the easiest money he ever made. In my opinion its a no-brainer, you take the money

Exactly. Why did Calzaghe fight people like Peter Manfredo and not fight Carl Froch? Strange.
We'll see how good Froch is when he fights Kesler.
I wouldn't read too much into that last fight. Direl would have made a lot of decent boxers look shit with his run and hold tactics.
Re: Calzaghe was right about Froch
After being there saturday night, I have no doubt in my mind that Froch would be eating glove ALL NIGHT LONG against Calzaghe. If he stands with Kessler, he's going to get starched......
Re: Calzaghe was right about Froch
Can someone please explain why so many people are quick to have a go at Froch after that fight. It wasnt his fault that Dirrell was so negative. It takes two to make a fight. Maybe im wrong here but i dont recollect too many having a pop at Froch, saying hes a dodgy chin and nonsense like that, after the Pascal fight or,indeed, the Taylor fight
Re: Calzaghe was right about Froch
I think Calzaghe would give Froch a terrible beating, and I'm mean, if he fought him now. It would be one of those seriously embarrassing Mayweather-Gatti or Calzaghe-Lacy type beatings.

Froch was recovering from thumb surgery when Joe fought Manfredo, Froch got offered a career high purse to be next in linebut bottled it circa May-June 2007, when Joe was also chasing Taylor who demanded $10m (and who's coach at the time said himself they weren't ready for a guy who throws as much punches as Joe).
Calzaghe's next fight was against a unified SM champ, but of course some moron might argue he should have faced a mediocre crow-nosed novice from Nottingham instead.

How dare Dirrell not stand there and get hit in the face? Shocking.
How dare he use footwork to avoid getting hit? How dare Froch be not good enough to cut of the ring or change tactics.
They bring it on themselves, they run off their mouths saying how great they are when so few actually are great.

It's hard to pick Froch's best most ridiculous quote, but I thought placing himself alongside Sugar Ray Leonard & Marvin Hagler was a good one ;D
Re: Calzaghe was right about Froch
One thing for sure is Kessler Froch will not be boring. Both will come to win the only way they now and that is'nt running around the ring.

I think Taylor (and from what I've heard Dirrell, he just lacked the experience and balls to pull it off 100%) have shown the way: make Froch come to you.
Agree with this. This is why the Kessler - Froch fight is surely going to be great. Although i think Kessler wins i see it being a ding - dong battle. But Kessler will be donging harder and more often than Froch is dinging. So he takes it - but should still be great.
I'm looking forward to it but I don't see it lasting long unless Froch can hurt Kessler which I doubt he will. I think Kessler will have him out in 5.
i hope so; now that JT's got a loss, I'm left with only Kessler.
