Re: How did you score the Abraham - Taylor fight prior to the stoppage?
Abraham completely bossed that fight from the 5th. It was just a matter of whether he would KO Taylor or not.

I felt the point deduction for JT's "low-blows" was unwarranted, as there had only been two clear low-blows at that point and only the first one was particularly bad. I also felt that Abraham should have been cautioned against punching to the back of the head. My last point is that I feel that Abraham's body-punching is that main thing that won him the fight.
Also, does anyone know what the official scores were?
Here's my scorecard:
Abraham - Taylor:
1. A - 9; T - 10
2. A - 9; T - 10
3. A - 10; T - 9
4. A - 9; T - 10
5. A - 10; T - 9
6. A - 10; T - 8 (bullshit deduction)
7. A - 10; T - 9
8. A - 10; T - 9
9. A -10; T - 9
10. A - 10; T - 9
11. A - 10 ; T - 9
So I had it 107 - 101 Abraham going into the 12th.
I also feel that rounds 3 and 5 were close enough that they could be justifiably scored for Taylor, though I felt Abraham won both.
Finally, while I am a big fan of Abraham, I think Dirrell has all the tools and the style to beat him.
had the exact same scorecard, taylor did well through the 1st 4 but once AA let go it began to become a prosession and taylors inability to dodge a guy who hardly throws the quickest punches was just scary.
he's not the quickest puncher, but his punches aren't thrown in slow motion like Froch, and Abraham is one of the most accurate guys in this tourney
Re: How did you score the Abraham - Taylor fight prior to the stoppage?
I haven't scored the fight properly yet.
From watching it first time though, i had Abraham way ahead.
Re: How did you score the Abraham - Taylor fight prior to the stoppage?
Easy for me
Rounds 1-4 all 10-9 Taylor
Rounds 5-11 all 10-9 Abraham (-1 BS point deduction)
106-102 Abraham.
As for the fifth about as much of a swing round you could have in the fight, for me AA turned the fight at the end of the round so that's why I gave it to him.

had the exact same scorecard, taylor did well through the 1st 4 but once AA let go it began to become a prosession and taylors inability to dodge a guy who hardly throws the quickest punches was just scary.
Had same scorecard too. Taylor did well through round four, but the rest of the fight belonged to Abraham. The funny thing is that this is how almost every Abraham fight goes. It seems almost deliberate. I wouldn't say Abraham doesn't have decent speed. My critique on him is that his punches are very wide although they look to be thudding, meaningful punches. He looked tough to beat.

AA is just extremely good at dictating the pace of the fight and making his opponent wait for him.
Once arthur started throwing in round 5 you could clearly see taylor was in all kinds of bother trying to get away from the precise hard counters.
I dont see anyone in this tournament beating abraham in germany. If however the fight is in the us or britain you do have a genuine chance if your brave enough to mess up his gameplan by taking away that rock solid defence with good clean hard body, head shots which you simply wont be allowed to get away with infront of a german audience.
Re: How did you score the Abraham - Taylor fight prior to the stoppage?
I actually thought Taylor won one more rounds and the biased of the commentators was irritating. Taylor is done though. He hasnt been the same fighter since he left Pat Burns in his corner. Had that been Taylor at the point that he fought hopkins or before he would have destroyed Pavlick, Abraham, and especially the joke of a fighter that is Froch.
