It is not Haye that scares me if he fights Ruiz, it's Ruiz, he will double the jab and grab Haye alll the time, it'll be a jab jab grab fest. A very different boring fight than the one we just assisted.

I like neither Haye or Valuev, I would have preferred Valuev on the sole fact that I don't like Haye's words chewer. Guess it'll be just more entertaining for the future. Still, Glad for you UK-ers to have a new HW champ, we haven't have had a HW champion in Canada for a loonnggggg timmmee.
I must admit , if Valuev had big power he would be a real beast.
I really dont understand why Valuev's corner didnt tell him to jab at Haye's chest and bring the right uppercut into play.
I also thought Adam Booth showed his inexperience .
Thankfully I did not pay for it, but will watch the repeat.
I'm watching it again now. He didn't slip. His legs deserted him quite badly. It wasn't a clean shot really. Probably down to tiredness aswell. There was no tangle of legs, he didn't slip on the canvas, his legs went, then he shook his head whilst looking rather confused. He then grabbed Haye and held until the referee broke them up.
Valuev was hurt. If Haye catches Wlad with some of those shots he'll knock him out. He'll struggle with Vitali though as the man has the work rate power and chin.
It was a terrible fight, but that was Haye's best chance of winning given the physical differences.
I knew Haye had won as soon as I saw Don King trying to muscle in with him, what was it he said after the Fraiser/Foreman fight? "I came with the champ and I left with the champ"
Haye did land more punches, and more good punches, than Valuev who apart from always walking forward did very little else.
So the ends justify the means. I don't rate Ruiz but I think he is an ideal oppenent for Haye and hopefully an opponent he can look good against/
I'm glad someone actually paid attention to the fight. Yeah, they even showed the replay of this in slow motion and it was clear that Valuev didn't slip. There is entirely too much of people trying to discredit Haye's performance on here. Even if he did just enough to win.
