Well obviously....Bono is a world class douchebag and usually people don't have much of an opinion about The Darkness.
At least The Darkness didn't take themselves seriously, that's part of the reason why I like them. They didn't try to get any kind of political message out or anything, they just played their music with a lot of energy.
Re: Bute, best fighter on his category!!!
He might be the best but we can’t say it yet. I’m curious how he would compete with faster fighters like Ward or Dirrell. I agree with Amat he’s the most accurate puncher of SM division and the variety of his punch arsenal is top quality.
Re: Bute, best fighter on his category!!!
as great as bute is i think andre ward is the cream of the crop at super middleweight. a star was born last week in ward and i would be surprised if he doesn't win the super six tournament!
Re: Bute, best fighter on his category!!!
You don't get called the best in the division by beating the most limited of a good bunch.
Kessler did the same and look what happened to him... It was a good win, but the lesson has been learned.
Re: Bute, best fighter on his category!!!
That body shot was the s:censored:
Ward still wrecks this cat
But the dude is good:thumb:
Re: Bute, best fighter on his category!!!
Actually I think he would give Ward the toughest fight in the division, including Abraham. I'd pick Ward to win but no doubt he has the tools to potentially box with Ward and do very well for himself. That would be a really good fight, something potentially to look forward to in 2012 when this tournament is hopefully over.

Bute might have moved on by then
Or up
Abraham rains on his ass
Ward wrecks him
Good fights to see:thumb:

Bute hits at least as hard as Abraham an is faster. Can he cope with pressure and Abraham's high guard? it is to be seen. as for Ward, both are very fast, it would be a very very good fight to see actually and I am certain that we'll see Lucian against either of these guys in a close PPV from home in a near future somewhere in 2010 as well.
Re: Bute, best fighter on his category!!!
He would have a shot versus Abraham, definitely. Abraham is going to simply get outmoved and outhustled one of these days in much the same fashion as Kessler. Unlike Kessler though Abraham is just a bundle of explosive power and when he opens up and 'uncoils' as Al Bernstein said, he's dangerous whether he lands or not. However just like Kessler he isn't a great mover, he doesn't fight on the inside and he fights off his heels. We'll know a great deal more about Abraham in the Dirrell fight imo. Taylor just doesn't have enough offensive weaponry at this point to keep Abraham off him, just the same repetitive attack over and over. Dirrell should mix it up at times and if he can avoid being KO'd, I give him a very good shot at the scorecards, especially in the States.

Well Ward and Abraham both factor into the second round of the tournament which is the best money they can get, they should be tied up past 2010. Also it's pretty hard to say Bute hits as hard as Abraham, I don't believe that he is just a clean accurate puncher, not a pure power puncher like Abraham has developed into.

Look how he floored Zuniga, Andrade or even the normally very durable Egyptian Magician Kabari Salem, Bute hits like a truck, 2 of the fights he did could have ended up via K.O but he had problem at the time and made him fight with more padded gloves (from what I recall from the interviews). If he doesn't hit as hard as Abraham, I promise you he's in the same league of hitter without the shadow of a doubt. 25 fights, 20 K.O against some tough mofo's, that's quite good actually.
Re: Bute, best fighter on his category!!!
I think Dirrell even schools Bute
Bute was great against the limited Andrade:o
But Ward, Abraham & Dirrell
Present a totally different puzzle to solve:dontknow:

I think you underrate him a bit too much. He could lose to them, why not, but getting schooled? I highly doubt.

Maybe but-
Dirrell is pretty slick though
Ward is even better
Abraham is a beast
Re: Bute, best fighter on his category!!!
I'm a Bute fan and have been long before this fight. I won't be jumping on the best in division train or trying to argue such a point. He's proven he has something people thought he didn't, the ability to close out a fight with power. He's got a ways to go yet and a hell of a tough division to get through before he can be considered the best in it. Time will tell but I like what I see.
