So I guess Floyd is bigger then the History of the sport... Seriously????
Does that mean this Olympic style of testing should be implimented in every single professional fight?? If not, how is this any different AND DON"T SAY MONEY!!!!!!!
I know for a fact i am quite sluggish after getting blood tested, my wife isn't effected at all after blood being taken. Everyone is diferent...
With all due respect Usain Bolt isn't in the ring fighting againts the #1 or #2 P4P fighter in the world...
If Mayweather takes the same tests at the same time, then there is no advantage physically as to the tests. Should a full drug screen be mandatory? Maybe it should be for title fights. It's not as if there is no history of performance enhancer use in boxing.

I hear ya Killer, but i still think everyone reacts differently to blood tests... I get extremely lethargic and ill during and after a minor blood test, my wife on the other hand doesnt' even bat an eye... Everyone is not the same...
If boxing impliments this type of drug screening for just Title fights, how can anyone say one fight is more important then the other... Anyone putting their body at risk is just as important as the next... I agree,There is a history of PED's being used, but that history wouldn't be known if they didn't still get caught...

I find this to be an unusual but not entirely unexpected kind of response. Are you seriously objecting to boxing implementing rigorous drug testing procedures? And using your drowsiness as a justification? With all due respect Usain Bolt isn't getting pounded with uppercuts either.
Boxing owes it to itself to become more stringent. It shouldn't take a fighter having to call other fighters out and then having the other fighter running away to prove a point. If both fighters are being tested at the same time, then no questions can be asked, can they? Why do you have a problem with equal testing?

I definitely agree with Boxing needs to be more stringent... I don't agree with Floyd being the reason why this test is happening... If this was implimented by the commission of boxing and applied to the rules of all professional Fights, i would say nothing...
But this is not the case... This is Floyd trying to control PAC and cause a ripple in his performance...

So PAC shouldn't take the drug test for political reasons? Why is ok for the commission to ask for it and not Mayweather?

A blood test is not controlling anybody, it is the performance in the ring that is the controlling factor. Floyd has agreed to make weight, now Manny should accept a few proper checks for once in his life too. It's not that big a deal, and for high level fights where fighters ask for this, then the same procedure should be applied. Commisions cannot be relied upon for everything and when the stakes are this high then the fighters deserve their say.

Proper checks? so all the testing that has gone on for years are no longer proper checks??
I do not agree the stakes are higher in title fights then any other professional fight... The safety of ones life as a journeyman is no less valuable then an undefeated fighter trying to protect is loss column.
If this type of testing was implimented throughout the entire sport like it is in the olympics then i will shut my mouth... But it isn't and a Boxer is a Boxer... Pac is no more important then any other professional fighter... And no amount of money changes the level of importance in a fighters safety...

Re: Should Manny Pac go ahead with the blood test?
i voted YES
pac should be tested so those who claim pac is on some form of ped will be silenced. but the random thing is a bit too much, it will surely mess up his training.
its now safe to say that pbf is scared of pac, this is the first time pbf pulled all sorts of stuff just to get the upper hand on his opponent.

You really think he is scared? Going on what has taken place it would seem that Floyd played a gambit and knew Pac would flinch and here we are. I don't see Floyd looking all that scared at this juncture.

this is the only stand out request he's made, and it's not a ludicrous one either, if Manny isn't on anything he has nothing to fear (I personally think he's clean) but the way he's going about halting the fight screams the complete opposite, the fact that Mayweather himself is willing to go through the same exact process should basically cancel out any bullshit excuse that Pacquiao has to not taking the blood tests, if anything when he comes out negative it'll only ensure that the winner of the fight is the clear cut best, so don't see what the drama is all about
Re: Should Manny Pac go ahead with the blood test?
Of course he should. The big fucking girl's blouse.
Re: Should Manny Pac go ahead with the blood test?
But various reports out there I read is that random testing will be done even prior to 24-48 hours to the fight. So the Pacquiao camp is against this. I really wish we have some medical experts here on the subject of taking blood out, will it affect some sort of performance in regards to stamina, power, etc.
Mayweather's style conserves stamina and he doesn't need power to dominate a fight.
I say Pacman agrees to it, but the last random blood testing should be done a few days before the fight and then have one immediately after the fight. I seriously doubt Pacman can mask that.
And let's not compare Olympic sports like Track and Field to pro boxing. Usain Bolt isn't in a prize ring getting punch in the head.
Re: Should Manny Pac go ahead with the blood test?
i voted yes and it looks very dodgy him not wanting to take the test if hes got nothing to hide then agree to do the test end off
