Mate he was seriously pissed.
When they finished Colin Murray said something like "in the morning someone tell Fleet he lost at the Lakeside last night cause he wont remember where he was"
Adams - "i never knew nerves could do that to you"
Murray - "yeah sometimes nerves make you really drunk"
;D
He's been cracking me up by keep mentioning how much booze they are getting through backstage
Murray is fantastic. Good comedy. Much better than boring Ton Stubbs.
Fleet was blotto! That was really painful to watch.
O Shea and fat bunting was a pretty good match though.
Woods v Wagner was a superb game
Disappointed with Wagner thoug. He looks smooth as fuck and a bit of a geezer, when he was interviewed he sounded like Vern Troyer
Re: BDO World Darts Championship
Anybody just see Dave 'Charisma' Chisnall ruin Tony O'Shea - fuck me he was awesome ....the boring koont ;D
Re: BDO World Darts Championship
The standard is poor, Taylor lot would beat all of them.

Taylor beats every one period.
The top players on the BDO are just as good as the PDO top players minus Taylor as Scott Waites proved a few weeks ago in the gramd slam of darts.
Adams
O Shea
Waites
Hankey
Chisnell
Would all hold there own and get to the later satges of the PDO events. Just that the depth is much worst in the BDO than the PDO, but like said earlier in the thread the PDO poach 90% of the BDO players. Like Whitlock,King,Mardle,Barney,Painter etc etc.

Spot on mate. Can't remember the exact stats but head to heads between BDO and PDC players in the Grand Slam of darts was well in favour of the BDO players. I think they won 60 or 70% of the head to heads

Surely that can't be right?
2007 - only Gary Anderson qualified from the group stages, losing in the semi to Taylor.
2008 - Whitlock, Webster, Anderson and Fitton (Fitton let Anderson win so they'd both qualify) qualified from the groups.. Anderson lost in the semi to Jenkins, the others were knocked out by PDC players.
2009 - Waites and O'Shea qualified from the group stages, both eventually losing to Taylor.
Re: BDO World Darts Championship
Apparently there were 17 BDO V PDC games in The Grand Slam.
BDO 10 vs 7 PDC
So about 59% ;)
Re: BDO World Darts Championship
Is that over the three years? Where did you see the stats?
Re: BDO World Darts Championship
Re: BDO World Darts Championship
Nice one. Nearly all the BDO winners must now be PDC players ;D
That thread had some interesting averages.
BDO last 8 average
89.77
PDC last 8 average
99.00
BDO last 4 average
93.98
PDC last 4 average
97.12
This year the divide in class between the two really stood out. As I said earlier, the BDO are down to about 4 players that could potentially be top 32 in the PDC.

I think Chisnall is the most likely player to succeed Taylor at the moment. He just needs to sort out those nerves, which he will in time (This was his first time being in anything like that kind of sitaution)

Blimey, that's a big shout mate. Chisnall is clearly a top player but I didn't think looked anything special.
He never got his average out of the 90s for any match. Younger guys like Wade and Lewis are consistent 100+ average merchants. And in Wade's case a proven big time winner.
Also, a good run at Lakeside doesn't guarantee success. Jelle Klassen has never made the semi of a PDC TV comp and spent the last couple of years ranked between 30 and 40. Webster had had a shocking year on the PDC curcuit before the worlds.
Maybe you are right, but at the moment i'd be surprised if he was a top 10 player within the next 5 years. :-\

Yeh, here what you are saying mate and you are probably right but I just have a hunch about Chisnall! He had a 97 average against O'shea BTW, fuck knows what is average was for the last 4 sets
Wade and Lewis both are guilty of not always taking matches seriously
enough, but are still both quality. By now I would've expected Lewis to have been very close to Wade and Barneveld, but he's lost ground because he got ahead of himself. Looks like he has got his head right now
though.
Nice to see another dart fan on here. I used to be fanatical about darts, but haven't seen a lot of the PDC tournaments over the past couple of years because I haven't got Sky Sports.
Re: BDO World Darts Championship
I love darts mate, it's my favourite sport to bet on.
I think it'll be Wade that takes over from Taylor. Even when he's playing poor he's tough to beat because he's excellent under pressure. And already has won four TV majors.
Lewis is an awesome scorer but an out-and-out bully. The minute someone matches him he folds. His finishing always goes to pot.
Whitlock was outstanding throughout the world champs. He's now moved to England to concentrate fully on the darts, so be interesting to see if he can keep that form going.
Shame you ain't got Sky.. you got the The Players Championship on ITV4 at the end of the month though ;)

Yeh Whitlock was very good, huge improvement from him. Now he is over here and had his nice cheque from being runner up, he can focus 100% and play more tournaments, so he could be huge. Premier league is going to very interesting, best line up ever this year
I have got Sky, just not Sky sports coz I just never get a chance to watch anything (CBeebies dominates TV in our house)
