1. blood test before the Press Conference
2. blood test 24 days before the fight
3. blood test at the dressing room right after the fight (if anyone took any substance as aid for the fight, it wouldn't magically disappear fifteen minutes after right?)
4. unlimited urine testing during the whole training period (urine testing is the prescribed method by WADA to detect EPO and is now developed by USADA to detect HGH)
how could any sane boxer cheat with this?
Floyd turned this offer down flat, so how the fuck is Manny to blame for this fight being off??
Floyd wouldnt budge Manny would and these tests he said he would take are fine with me and would be with any other person expect little Floyd.
Nope what you take doesn't disappear out of your system 15 minutes after the fight but it can be unable to be traced 24 days before a fight.
The thing Mayweather mainly wanted was random drug tests. As in Pacquiao having no knowledge when he is gonna get his blood drawn. If you know when you're gonna get your blood drawn it doesnt stop you from doing anything afterwards. If I know im gonna get drug tested right after the press conference and then 24 days before the fight I can do whatever I want in between and pretty much predict when it will be out of my system. Urine tests can be beaten, its been shown before and it will be shown again.
Again, I do not understand why Pacquiao doesn't want to have random drug tests. Bolt got multiple MULTIPLE drug tests and still set records during the Olympics. So I don't see why Pacquiao can't.
The big question mark I see is Pacquiao wanting to dictate when his blood is drawn, that to me is shady. Obviously we know Urine tests can be beaten, and thats the only one he's willing to take randomly, but he doesn't share that confidence in bood tests. Which means if he IS on something, then its something untraceable in urine but traceable in blood.
Just my two cents, but Pacquiao's reluctance to random blood testing but openness to urine ones really has me wondering. Fact of the matter is, this fight will not happen because Pacquiao wants to dictate when his blood is drawn. Now using an example if someone is accused of stealing and the police come to his house and ask if they can enter to check around. Now if the guy stole something and he asks the cops to come back two days later and they agree to what do you think he is gonna do? He is going to hide whatever it is they are looking for or he is gonna make sure it is out of his house by the time they get there, so when they check its nothing but when they leave he takes it out again.
Same is said here, if Pacquiao's blood, key word BLOOD tests aren't random, he can pretty much dictate when he knows it will probably be in his system and when it won't be. As in nothing stops him from doing it right after cause he basically knows after the press conference he doesn't have to blood test again till 24 days before the fight. Thats a whole 2 or 3 months.
Get what Im saying? If the blood tests are RANDOM there is no way to dictate that so his safest bet would be to not use them at all or he'd be caught. And in my opinion thats the best way.
Wow Majesty got his dick stuck up Mayweather's arse would never have guessed that .
Go do a little reserch on the urine side of things ;).
Maybe you should have. From a drug doctor's point of view
Ask the Doc: With steroid and HGH testing, is blood or urine best? | MMAjunkie.com
Here's a quote about which is better
Anyway, urine testing is cheaper, less invasive (no needle stick required) and has fewer potential complications (not unless peeing on your hand is considered a complication) than blood testing.
Blood screening is more sensitive (more likely to detect a banned substance), detects more banned substances, and is more difficult to beat through "masking" methods. Blood screening is the current standard for detecting abnormally elevated levels of synthetic human growth hormone (HGH).
Feel free to read all of that. Urine testing is easier to mask then blood testing, as has been proven before and will be again.
And here's another quote from another article
Travis Tygart, the CEO of USADA, told Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports that both urine and blood tests are needed to determine if a fighter is clean.
"There is no urine-based tested for human-growth hormone," Tygart said. "It doesn’t show up in the urine. It’s only a blood-based test. That’s true of a number of prohibited substances, particularly those that would enhance and aid a boxer.”
Maybe you're the one that should have done research on Urine and Blood.

yeah, and what i don't get is why isn't there any counter-proposal from floyd? he wanted olympic style testing and teampac countered with the 30 day window. now in the mediation pac compromised to 24 day testing, so where is mayweather's counter-proposal? aren't they interested to have this fight to not come up with something? it is an easy fight after all according to them. why let go of a cool $40M so easily? i just don't blame manny but mayweather as well for this fight not coming off.
Re: So the fight is off but how the hell is it Mayweathers fault???
It's neither and both of thier faults. Ah well, that's two boxers out of 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 out there. Let's just watch some of them. Floyd would have won and the fight would have been boring anyway.
Re: So the fight is off but how the hell is it Mayweathers fault???
floyd never wanted the fight. i remember when they wanted to negotiate with the owner of the dallas stadium, schafer and co didn't want any part of it. maybe at the back of their minds they were like "i won't waste my time with this, it won't happen anyway"
Re: So the fight is off but how the hell is it Mayweathers fault???
How the hell can you not find both fighters fault?
They both are to blame 50/50! same as the money split. They can't come to an agreement? You can't fully blame Pacquiao and you can't fully blame Mayweather.
It's as easy to accept a proposal as it is to reject a proposal. It's just as easy not to demand as it is to demand.
If this fight never happens, it will just be another fight that wasn't made. It doesn't mean Floyd is chicken shit and it doesn't mean that Pacquiao is a cheat.
What it really means is that they are BOTH REALLY FUKN STUPID! And Stupid is turning down a $40 Million dollar payday. For what? Not facing a 98 cent needle or demanding proof of innocents.

Re: So the fight is off but how the hell is it Mayweathers fault???
I've been A floyd fan from day one. Pac has grown on me and I liked what he brings to fights too. Trying to look at this objectively, I gotta say this...
I can't really blame floyd for not budging. Its not a matter of whether or not manny's tested positive in the past. The whole 24 day thing is kind of iffy. Ok if manny test positive after the fight, he's already been paid, hes already fought and if floyd somehow loses, it doesnt get overturned to a win. His perfect record is marred by a no contest at best.
Manny's camp has come up with a bunch of reasons to not take the test. I won't comment on the validity of each because we all have our own opinions of them. But consider this... The contention being given here is.. "c'mon how much juicing, if any could really be done 24 days before the fight? Detected or undetected by blood?" Now the question has to be asked if it was only 16% percent of what could have been done in say a 3 month training camp... does that make it anymore of a fair fight to the other fighter if youre not completely roided up and has nothing in his system?
Floyds counter offer would had to be something like.. "ok 24 days, but if you test positive after the fight, I get to keep all the money.. win lose or draw." Think manny's camp would have went for that? There didnt seems to be an issue on the gloves, the ring size or the MONEY... Floyd not haggle over money?!?!!? He'd kill you just to get 6 cents out of a dime you both found together. If the money split was that easy for floyd, manny should bite the bullet on the blood and take the tests no matter what his dislike is. Just my opinion ..
Re: So the fight is off but how the hell is it Mayweathers fault???
I defer to those who know more about PEDs than I do, but the 24 day window is crap. Manny could load up on HGH and cycle off within 4 days of testing and then cycle back on and then off 4 days before the fight and test clean. Random means random. If you can concede to the test because you are clean, why can't you concede whenever the testers want to come see you?
That's how baseball players weren't caught for the longest time. They always knew when the tests were coming and they could cycle off.

Sometimes you can't take articles and blogs as facts. I think that Dr. columnist dude has a hard-on for Mayweather. He seems to want you to beleive he is not bias. Also it's like he's hiding behind the "Dr." in his name as authoritative. If you read some of his shit, He writes in half truths and backs up nothing with facts.
Blood testing cost more that than Urine testing <---> Urine testing cost more than Blood testing. It depends on what kind of test you are doing and what you are testing for.

Re: So the fight is off but how the hell is it Mayweathers fault???
Some people on this board need to get their head out of the sand and do research about PED's and the testing for them. The ONLY, 100% effective test to determine if an athlete is completely clear of all PED's is a MUSCLE BIOPSY. Good luck getting ANY sports body or athlete agreeing to that. At this point...the drugs are WAY ahead of the testing. Many athletes and their "team" (which often consist of doctors on their payroll) know how to cycle off and on drugs and evade getting caught. The fact that Manny refuses even the random blood testing put forth for this fight, makes him look extremely suspicious. Floyd is no angel...and unless this is all some marketing ploy to sell the fight...he has made Pac, his team, and Arum look foolish.

Sorry, but as Floyd has just come out and said, he's STILL willing to make the fight happen. Manny and his camp have already moved on to another opponent. Pac's entire camp (Arum included), knows he doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell of winning. Manny is entirely to blame here.
