...I'm sorry I don't have any respect for that cocksucker. He tries to act like a bad ass but he has 21 wins and like 6 KO's and he's mocking Peter Manfredo Jr. (another talentless jackass) and drawing a line on the canvas and then he shells up in his defense again or rips off a feather fisted combination. The guy hasn't even tried to fight anyone worth a damn and when he has fought somebody that's halfway decent he's CLEARLY lost and usually Mora gets a gift decision.
I hate Sergio Mora and everything he stands for and the only reason I would like to see him fight again is to see him get his b*tch ass KTFO

I thought he clearly beat Forrest in their first fight, a fight that everyone (myself included) expected him to lose.
Re: whats happend to sergio mora?
....I don't care, I hate him. Why couldn't Antonio Margarito load his gloves up on a dude like Sergio Mora instead of beating up a dude everyone appreciates??? Why do you have to ruin good fighters Margarito? Why can't you take out the Sergio Mora's of the world WHY?!?!?!?!

All that hostility for someone who would probably beat the shit out of you.

Sergio Mora hasn't "beat the shit" out of anyone recently and if he won't do it when he's PAID TO then I highly doubt he'd take me on for free much less beat the shit out of me.

The first time it happened is when he was supposed to fight Kassim Ouma as a co-feature fight, when a week before the fight, JMM pulled out of his fight due to his hand injury. Then of course, he got screwed over by Pavlik last spring.
I feel so bad for the guy, he hasn't fought for 16 months, by no fault of his own.
As fans, we forget what theses guys put themselves through to get ready for a fight, and don't think about what they go through when the rug gets pulled out from under them.
Sergio let me share this email I got from him just after the fight was canceled, and I asked him if it was okay to post it, because I thought it was something that people should understand. So I posted it on his website, but I'll post it here as well.
This is what Sergio wrote to me.......
Hey Diane, sorry to have to say the entire card is scratched. I am so demoralized and frustrated with this recent cancellation that I haven't even absorbed it yet. I received a call from Cameron Dunkin informing me of the cancellation and it was confirmed by Golden Boy not long after. I was in shock! I didn't want to accept it and I refused to believe that this would happen to me AGAIN! This has happen to me so many times in my career that I should know how to manage the frustration by now; but to honest with you, I don't. People will never truly understand what it feels like for a fighter to commit himself physically, mentally and spiritually in preparation for the potential punishment of a fight. I have, will always take my camps 100% serious. I put my body through months of misery and torture to assure that victory will be worth the pain. The beginning of camp is always the worst. Especially after being off so long. The bumps and bruises and all the soreness that comes with the initial shock of taking your body to the max. The blood, the sweat, the stress, the weight loss, the running, the lifting the countless sparring, the sacrifice all for nothing. I can now say "all for nothing" because Golden Boy has informed me that there is no dates available until March! Which means Im looking at about a 16 month lay off before I get back to action!
I can honestly say that the life of a fighter (most fighters) is just that, a fucking fight. A nonstop fight with life's battles and destined misfortunes. Not to mention the struggles with managers, promoters, critics, the media and so on... But even a fighter has a limit. Even a fighter has a breaking point. And what happen in Haiti was Andre Berto's breaking point. Do I agree with his decision to cancel? No! Personally, something like that would have inspired me even more... But do I respect his decision? Absolutely! We all have to respect his decision. A lot of people have their theories of why Berto pulled out, but in the end, it does not matter and their thoughts are irrelevant. I don't care to speculate either. All I am concerned with is the future and wonder what will happen next? I have no idea. But one thing is damn certain, I will keep fighting...
Diane, I appreciate you putting this on for us, but for me it had the opposite effect due to the highlighted part, it just made me think Mora is a complete douche. I know he's trying to be considerate to Berto, but he just pisses me of with the 'it would have inspired me even more' line. The fact is no one can say how they would feel if EIGHT members of their family had just died and their sister and niece was alone on the streets in a country experiencing dangerous after-shocks. How could you fight on not knowing for certain if your sister was safe?
I didn't really care one way or the other about Mora before, but that has kind of got me disliking him as just a whiny guy who can't think about a situation bigger than himself.
And VD & Killer are right, he should take a leaf out Victor Ortiz' book, but I suspect he's not doing everything he can to get a fight or GBP would happily put him on a Fight Night Club card in LA.
