I am the biggest TV addict I know of.. 28 years of slowly moulding my eyes from balls into perfect squares,,,, and having watch Band of Brothers for the first time 2 months ago, immediately decided it was the best thing I have ever seen on television...
Don't even hesitate for another second to get that shit... It's honestly a highlight of being a conscious human being to watch that shit..

That's a good idea.. I've watched the first 2 week by week and it's already a pain waiting in between eps... Nothing better than finishing a cliff hanger episode or something and being able to immediately put the next one on..

From what I've seen in the first two episodes, The Pacific is going to be a worthy companion to BoB. After I watched the first two, I started watching BoB again. So good. The truly were the greatest generation.

I don't want to ruin it for anyone I saw the 3rd episode has anyone NOT seen it yet?
Re: The Pacific (HBO) .. Discussion Thread ..
This is a brutal series.Needs to be seen, learned. Not that fake cowboy John wayne BS they used to sell bonds with and make you think battle is a clean flawless, slaute the flag undertaking.Had a vet down in Lee circle saying he had to go to screening twice.Walked out on the first one,too close to home.
Re: The Pacific (HBO) .. Discussion Thread ..
We had ANZAC day yesterday which is a National public holiday/salute to all the soldiers who have fought and died for Australia..
I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not, but it wasn't until I watched Band of Brothers, but now especially the latest episodes of The Pacific where you realize just how brutal world wars are... Episode 5 and 6 where they are taking over the airfield and just insane the conditions that had to live and fight through...
The fact the show doesn't pull any punches and brings you right face to face with what these guys faced, makes you appreciate it more than anything what people have sacrificed for us...
I think this series is good for promoting respect and appreciation for veterans.. Some would say (ignorantly) that these shows glorify war, but it just shows the reality of it.. If someone thinks wow that is really cool, then that is just their interpretation... I can't think of many people who wouldn't take respect from watching that series...

So is this any good? I've downloaded every episode but haven't watched any of it yet, just never in the mood for some reason. :-\
I love V though,

It's very good... I still liked Band of Brothers better... But episodes 5, 6 and 7 of this series are as monumental as anything i've ever seen on television or movies...
I think you'll definitely like it..
I only watched the first ep of V and didn't like it, but it must get better?
