Could very well be wrong.
But I think Arreola is just too SLOW.
Plus he looks like an elephant seal.
Tons of heart though. Tough as nails.
TBH I don't see how people think Arreola is beating Adamek.
I'm not saying Adamek is unbeatable, I just haven't seen anything from Arreola that leads me to believe he can beat him. Adamek will outwork him and bust him up and I'm actually thinking he can stop him.
I remember years ago Wacko writing that James Toney would completely make a fool of Sam Peter.
Adamek is a better boxer sure, but he will by far the smaller and weaker man in the ring.
Also, he himself has only fought one top fighter, in Chad Dawson, and he was comfortably outboxed. He scored a flash knockdown but aside from that it was a landslide win for Chad.
I don't think this is a world class cruiserweight who is moving up. He's a solid enough fighter but nothing exceptional.
I think Chris can just overwhelm him.
I think at some point Adamek is gonna be right there for Arreola to hit & then its good night!

Fuck me sideways...
BCD - Adamel - Arreola are worlds apart as far as boxing skills go...
No comparison what so ever.

Bilbo i told you before that wasn't no flash knockdown, Chad Dawson was clearly stunnned by that knockdown. And lost the remaining rounds after that knockdown, so it clearly was more than just a flash knockdown.
By the way James Toney did outbox Samuel Peter in there 1st meeting but was robbed, he was in horrible shape for the rematch. He come in even heavier for the 2nd fight, which is why he lost. Tomasz Adamek is a well conditioned fighter nothing like James Toney in that respect.

You could argue he should have got the decision but it was in no way a robbery. It was case of the precision punching coming from Toney but the workrate coming from Sam Peter, a situation I can absolutely see being replicated on Saturday night.
I'm not suggesting for a second that Arreola is a better boxer than Adamek, but he is a much bigger and stronger man, and that kind of power could easily reduce Adamek's workrate and offensive output considerably.
Adamek may have to adopt a hit and move strategy and Arreola, despite looking like a cave troll from Moria might be able to press the action enough to pick up many rounds on workrate alone.
My guess is that this could easily to go to the cards with Adamek having a better punch connection rate but Arreola simply throwing more and the decision being split down the middle in terms of what you like.
Just because Arreola is crude doesn't mean he won't pose significant problems for Adamek due to his size and power.
I'm taking Arreola to win this fight on the cards.

Bilbo WTF are you talking about ?!
You were once a proud JFAT alliance member so I know that you know damn well that James Toney was ROBBED in the 1st Sam Peter fight.
He clearly outboxed Peter and there was absolutely no way you could score the fight for Peter.
The JFAT alliance is like the nWo brother...its 4 LIFE !

I still love JFAT and all but on second viewing I didn't think the first fight was really a robbery. There were many rounds where Peter, despite being ugly and crude was simply outworking James Toney. The rounds Toney won were pretty clear, he landed some sharp eye catching punches, especially early, but over the course of the fight he wasn't active enough.
Maybe he did enough to win, but it was one of those fights, a bit like Froch Dirrell, where neither fighter has really taken control of the fight, and in not doing so, has left it in the hands of the judges.
It wasn't a robbery, and second time around he got beat comfortably.
I can see Arreola Adamek being a similar fights. I guess most would think either Arreola KO or else Adamek points, but I think Arreola points is the most likely outcome, in a close and possibly contested decision.
Re: Interesting odds for Adamek Arreola
Some Pics from the Press confrence, quite suprising obviously Arreola is weighing more but take away his flabby excess weight and Adamek looks just as big frame wise to me, Arreola is still flabby but looks in a bit better shape than usual:

Re: Interesting odds for Adamek Arreola
Adamek looks bigger than I thought he would, it's amazing to think he managed to get down to 175 only a couple years ago.
Re: Interesting odds for Adamek Arreola
Truthfully, I hadn't really seen them back to back and they don't look all that different in size. I was expecting a much bigger difference. I'm now not quite as sure as I was on Arreola winning. From what I've gathered, Arreola supposedly plans on coming in at around 240, which would be his lightest weight in many fights.
Re: Interesting odds for Adamek Arreola
I just see two men in black shirts. It's hard to tell size. Still, Adamek's face doesn't look swollen and Arreola's certainly does.
Re: Interesting odds for Adamek Arreola
Actually, I see four men in black shirts, Bilbo. Yes. There are four men in that picture. ;D

I hope that woman to the right of Adamek is his mum because if that's his wife he must feel like a beaten and broken man already.
