Re: Boxers who blew it all by doing something criminal, stupid, horiffic or whatever?
I think the wreck Prince Naz had affected his comeback possibilities.. but I think Barrera would have whooped that ass all over again.
I'm pretty sure Pavlik has been living it up, and Jack Lowe is just the master of getting him out of trouble.

Aaron Pryor wasting his time on drugs, blowing his money and prime years and possible superfights that would have him on easy street now.

One situation that baffles though you certainly cannot say he 'blew it' was that of Lt heavyweight contender James Scott in the 70's.Blew it as in he was denied oppurtunity,or thru them away?He ran up a short winning streak on the east coast and then did some crimes, robbery and I believe a murder that saw him jailed in Rahway Prison for life.Whats crazy is that he actually fought some solid fighters while IN prison including wins over Dwight Qawi,Mustafa Muhammed and Yaqui Lopez...the Muhammad fight was aired from the prison on national TV,I believe the Wide world of sports ?
This is killing me.Their was a much hyped heavyweight in the 90's who had some skill and promise.Made the airwaves to start career and then was sent to prison.I think for kidnapping and rape ???Cannot think of name

He's living in Nottingham now and being looked after by his family. He's got a flat and everything and he's got a reasonable grip on his substance problems. :)

Tyson would've gone down as possibly the greatest of all time if Cus D'Amato hadn't have died when he did in my opinion. I know Mike became world champ shortly after he died but he would've kept him on the straight and narrowand he would've gone on to be THE best - not just as 'one of' the greatest.
