I agree. Growing up I followed those belts so closely, and they meant so much to me and the sport. But for some reason in the 1990's the alphabet gangs declared war on the sport of boxing, and Jose Sulaiman became an absolute whore, selling belts to everyone(diamond, silver, interim), demoting fighters who don't kiss his friends asses (Ray Austin) and threatening to strip REAL champions(Devon Alexander) for even mentioning the idea of fighting the next best contender.

I thought I read on the WBC website that this wasn't going to be for the title because GBP didn't ask them in time or something? Maybe they haven't updated their site, and also Sulaiman really should have someone check his writing to make sure it's even understandable.

Ah yes indeed... this belt maybe nothing more than a trophy but it does have tangible value. It would be a great find for the pawn stars of the future.

It does matter, because he robs these fighters of the very little money they get for spilling their blood, and then just because he gives little tiny bit back to one fighter, we are supposed celebrate him. I'm sure if you looked hard enough you might be able to find something nice that Hitler did too.
