I agree on the ring ropes and on the need for uniform rules.
But going to the cards after 3 rounds and change isn't materially different from going to the cards after 4 rounds. Neither is enough to judge a fight on. This fight would have been just as unsatisfying under the normal rules.

The part of it which really got my goat is that the ref had already been telling people at ringside that it was going to be a no contest, which is fair enough. Whilst the TV cameras were following Cintron's stretcher through the backstage area ( in a WWE style ) that's when they decide there actually is a result. No wonder Cintron's pissed off, and Williams has every reason to look sheepish claiming that farce as a win.
