being an elected public official, he can use government money to help people instead of using his own personal money or at least he gets some government money. :D

pacmans career has already went downhill IMO after he refused to take the tests i think he will retire soon before he gets found out.

It won't make any difference at all, his performance* won't drop below the level that he's maintained over the past few years. Manny is so dedicated to boxing and training in the gym that he only spends half the time performing with his band, making records, making movies, making personal appearances, running for political office and being a politician that all other elite fighters do.
*Provided they let him take his PEDs for at least 21 days before any future fight.

I think that Manny is starting to believe in his own legend; starting to believe in his fictional, super-hero powers. The man is starting to slide down that slippery delusional slope. If, and that's one hell of an IF, he actually puts his cards down and steps up to fight F.M., he can't have his head in so many different realms.
If he doesn't land early, stun, and finish Mayweather, Mayweather will figure him out and coast to another U.D. Even with all of the money on the table, the prospect of this fight taking place doesn't look too promising.

That sounds about right. Refuse to take the tests, blame Floyd for the negotiations collapsing then fight Hands of Plaster in the Cowboys stadium to go out with a win. No way he fights Floyd if he isn't allowed to take his PEDs.

He can't possible be more in love with himself than Mayweather is.
I'm more interested in how much his being a congressman will affect boxing. Are we going to see much more main stream media will follow Pacquiao now? Many of them have mentioned his Congressional race win. I've see it on the TV news, heard it on the radio news and there are a number of main stream news prints that have also carried the story. And I'm talking about non-sports news media. I heard a few month back he is going to a featured story on 60 minutes in September or October. He has brought the worlds attention to boxing but the question remains for how long. If he fights and beats Mayweather, there no telling what will happen to boxing. With this kind of attention McCain might be able to push through US Boxing Commission Bill. We might see some profound changes in boxing. It really is an exciting time for boxing
