He puts forward at least one argument that is factually incorrect there regarding PBF's 'women beating' which was disproved by Killersheep on here a few months back. You can search both Michigan & Nevada state court records and quickly discover that PBF has no conviction for domestic abuse or battery of a female, as he was cleared in all of those cases. I don't know whether he did it or not, although given family backgrounds and the propensity for boxers to be violent against women, I wouldn't be surprised, but the fact is a proper journalist should not be printing stuff that is factually untrue. If more boxers actually acted on it, they could stop boxing journalism (once considered the best in sports writing) from being a running joke.
Anyway that's besides the point, just as someone who's a qualified journalist, it's truly embarassing how poor most boxing journalism is. I mean you expect this stuff from boxingscene, but Hauser? The guy is a phenomenal writer. Anyway that's my rant over :-X
This is the only thing I can find for Floyd in NV and it indicates that he was found not guilty:
Blackstone Criminal/Probate Court Inquiry

I'm struggling with the new forum, but it's the thread that made Diane leave so you should be able to find it through her last post.
It's not so much this one, it's the fact he's an excellent writer, but he permanently puts out Arum biased material. Plenty of journalists I like don't like Floyd or go in on him like Bill Dettloff & Jeff Ryan. It's the lack of basic journalistic practice that bothers me with Hauser, I'll happily say it's a well-written article, but he consistently does this. It's what bothered me about his excellent PED article or his lack of anything regarding Margarito.
What happened with Diane? I did notice she wasn't posting anymore but I had no clues at all as the where about who what where when why, an argument exploded and she decided it was enough?

I have no problem with the Silver titles and actually I think they are much better then calling a title an 'interim'. Not every kid can grow up to be a legit champion but if they can put together a good 'silver' rankings with a mix of old and young then it can actually be productive, give prospects good competition and say a certain number of defenses gets you a shot at the title.
The word silver obviously indicates that it isn't THE belt, it's harmless and can actually be good imo. No kid grows up dreaming to one day help his team with the Outback Bowl or the Emerald Bowl but college football still has a ton of bowl games.
MMA has dozens of smaller organizations that give out belts, doesn't do much to skew the UFC champions.

good point. As long as the keep the silver title as a minor title and only recognize one champion per division they are moving in the right direction.
