We just have to look at Mosley and Campbell to realise that boxing is seldom an old mans game. In boxing the fighter very rarely finishes on top and it would be nice to see Joe see that through to the end.
Yeah, on the one hand he's not as shop worn as most fighters with as many fights as he's had, but seems the fighters that have had success later in life are the ones that have lived a clean life.
Bernard just can't stand to have a loss to anyone stay unavenged. I'm waiting for him call out Taylor, and his loss to Clinton Mitchell, probably even bothers him!

potentially shot or out of their weight class? Just how Hopkins like them at this stage of his career ;)

Do you really wanna see Hopkins v Dawson right now? I just wish Hopkins would retire right now. His fights are just ugly as hell.
Re: Hopkins-Calzaghe 2 This Fall?
I think a Calzaghe comback is a possibility but I think another fight with old man Hopkins would be pointless.
I am sure if any of the fighters in the super 6 were to be ofered the fight at light heavy they would take it.

I think I hear crickets chirping in the distance at that awful, awful attempt at making a play on words. Harbor a little resentment for this pugilistic icon?
Meanwhile, yes, Hopkins is looking to cash out against some older fighters so he doesn't run the risk of getting whacked! And to settle the score... Hopkins LOST the first fight. Hopkins barely made it to the final bell. Without all the fake fouls and placating to the ref... seriously
Re: Hopkins-Calzaghe 2 This Fall?
Well if calzaghe does comeback, he wont have much weight to lose!!
Oil's well with Joe and Kristina: Tender moments prove Calzaghe is still in love with his dance queen | Mail Online
Makes you wonder whether he has purposefully kept himself in shape, knowing that he could get a decent offer whithin a few years of retiring.
Id like to see him rematch Hopkins and stop him.

Edit - for the record, I don't even think Joe Calzage has a drug problem. Everyone has, more than likely, done the odd line here or there but it doesn't make them a drug addict. I just like the way the media always brings up the subject and some people think he is coming back to 'pay for his habit'.
Re: Hopkins-Calzaghe 2 This Fall?
what kind of a desperate crap girlfriend tells reporters that her ex has been doing blow?!
its pathetic.
i personally think hopkins should take on holyfield. he wouldn't even need to bulk up... he'd win just by throwing 15 punches a round. he could get some hw belt in the process and thereby matches roy's accomplishment... makes a whack o cash in the process.
as for joe... bang a bunch of barely legal chicks, party all the time, get fat and die of a heart attack in 7 years... but keep the zero joe.
