I seem to recall Bilbo , you asked the rest of us about Tyson Fury after he had won his 6 fight , and Myself any many others said he lacked power to take him to the top. You didnt agree and had a go at me for slating Fury. Now it seems you agree that he is all hype ?
Please clear this up , and maybe even find the thread.
If I remember correctly it was because you were slating him after 5 fights and saying he was fighting nobodies. I pointed out that he was being moved along quite quickly and that there was nothing wrong with his opposition up to that point.
Actually that's still the case, he's very young for a heavyweight and has been moved along at a decent pace.
The McDermott fight was a poor show and I will certainly give him shit for that.
But it doesn't mean he can't or won't improve a lot in the future.
You just write everyone off as having no power to succeed. You've said the same about Amir Khan and Kell Brook if I recall.
I personally think the reasons for guys failing at the top level are a bit more complex than just not having enough power, but whatever works for you I guess.
If you are a come forward fighter who gets hit alot like Fury , then without power you are going nowhere , i stick to my original analogy of him. He is shite. Brook wil not reach the top . and Khan will lose the second Warren stops standing in from of his chin.
I don't think anyone expects Fury to be the next heavyweight champ. Brook has done everything right so far and is one of the most exciting fighters in Britain, I hope he does well. Khan has left Warren, you're still in 2009. He's Goldenboy now.
Re: Tyson Fury - what is it with boxers and twitter...
You mean Golden Boy mate, he split from Warren ages ago.
But I agree, Roach is great at picking the right fights at the right time... Magalini - solid world class pedigree... weak punches. perfect for Khan
Re: Tyson Fury - what is it with boxers and twitter...
What a fucking Tool. Chisora would wipe the floor with this guy, as would Price (again). Them 2 "may" have what it takes to reach a good level, Fury does not have anything like their potential.

anyone else here for the khan fight? after david price bored me to death and man-lover chisora, i can't wait to see some monster punchers.
@andredirrell i think you could achieve a lot more if you didn't put so much into being a ballerina and an actor
@andredirrell whine whine whine... in the ring, out the ring - same old tune.
What an absolute bellend.
The funny thing is, he calls Wayne McCullough desperate, yet he is on twitter slagging off other world class boxers hoping to get a rise out of them and 'stealing' some followers and a bit of attention off of the back of it.
His bio as well:
Future Heavyweight Champion of the World
Fat bastard. Hope David Haye sees him out one night and puts a chin on him.
Thats about the funniest thing, boxing related, that I have ever read in my entire life. Tyson Fury, if your out there, by my score card you didn't even beat John McDermott, how on earth are you going to make it to a world title you crazy fool?

It's funny, I was reading Boxing News a few weeks ago and they asked a few people in boxing if David Haye could be the saviour of the HW division and one of the people they asked was Fury and he said something along the lines of "With me out there? No chance. To do that he'd have to beat me and that isn't going to happen ;D" I nearly pissed my pants.
Whether you think Haye is the real deal or not I don't think anyone can deny that we're talking about 2 completely different levels of fighters here.

Nah got high hopes for Kell Brook, he could be a world champ imo, although he will likely have to wait another year until the likes of Manny, Floyd and Shane are gone.
Amir Khan has now already achieved. The haters were wrong. He's a world champ, he's fought on HBO, he may not prove himself the best of Bradley, Alexander and Maidana but there comes a point when a fighter has gone beyond the point that people can say he'll never make it. He did, deal with it :)

LMAO..... I wonder what they actually said to him after the McDermott fight to instill the belief in him that he could still be world champ? Ha.... He's going to be angry with alot of people close him him when he actually gets found out. Haha....
He talks with the tone and vocal expression of a 70 year old man recounting stories from the war. That style will certainly come in handy when telling his grandkids...... "I was a boxer once you know son, could have made it you know". LMAO..... What an idiot....
