Haye got tens of millions fighting guys like Valuev and Ruiz for the "Heavyweight championship." Another thing is his fans aren't going to leave him. You have a bunch of his countrymen on here and many other boxing sites still putting the blame on the Klit brothers, not to mentioned as RJJtszyu put it, Haye is one of the most famous sportsmen in the UK right now. I'm guessing the general public in his country believes he is the legitimate HW champ. He's getting endorsements, charging god knows what to make an appearance somewhere, and getting millions more fighting bums.
Now as a businessman would you want to risk all that fighting 6'7" Klit brothers that has destroyed the HW competition in this era? He's only getting it on with the Klit brothers once they look vulnerable or start looking their age. The fight with the Klit brothers in my opinion won't happen for at least another 2 years if at all.

Lyle come on mate, we know that Haye should be fighting him or the brother next, but they no they will go in as underdogs, and yes he will make lot's with Klit's but not to much more than fighting anyone out there, I would even say the Audley would generate as much if not close enough to what a fight with the Klit's do.
Haye fights Wlad next gets sparked early, he has no more big pay days in reality maybe a rematch doubtful if it goes badly, where he can fight Audley next make £10 million, then maybe a Toney or Adamek make another 5-10 million, before the Valuev fight Haye was making 250k a fight. Now he has exploded and most the public recognise him now.
I don't agree with it but that is obvious what Haye and Booth are doing milking as much as they can until there is nowhere else to go and this moment in time there is another direction and that is fighting a guy who has never beat a top 50 heavyweight but Haye can fight him and make 10 million plus..

For awhile there I was actually considering becoming interested in the heavyweights again. Then Haye starts pulling this "businessman" shit. And it's back to Wlad fighting "the bum of the month club" ('cause that's all there is). And no matter how much anyone tries to pump up the quality of the rest of the HW bums, there's no way. It's like trying to give "mouth-to-mouth" to a week-old cadaver. It pisses me off, because I can't remember the last time I was truly excited about a heavyweight match. It was probably the Lennox-Vitali fight, which went all anti-climactic on me when Vitali grew a new eye above his real eye. So fukk Haye and his businessman's tactics. This is boxing.... not "The Apprentice".

It's not good for boxing at all, but that's Haye's strategy as many people have pointed out. He's milking it for all it's worth. Is it shameful and deceitful? Yes it is.
Basically I don't ever want to see another thread or discussion from his fans on how Haye is going to smash Vitali or Wlad as many of his fans keep on saying. It's been 2 freaking years already. People just get tired of the bullshit.

The issue I have with this situation is that while The Diva plays businessman he's not only keeping the fight fans want to see from happening but he's (potentially) blocking attention that could be paid to younger or better up and coming fighters: Solis, Pianetta, Boytsov, etc.. The way he's doing that is that if he won't fight Wlad and take his beating like a man then the division remains stagnant at the top and The Diva also takes away opponents for the up and comers by fighting older, shot heavyweights.
Chicken Little may have good business sense (seemingly) but #1 It's unseemly to be a professional boxer and have no guts #2 The guy can have fun making $16 million or whatever it comes out to fighting the likes of Audley Harrison but IF (and this is a possibility however slight) Chicken Little was to lose to Harrison then ANY future pay day will have gone the way of the Dodo......however if he was to lose to Wladimir then he could still have some decent paydays left in him vs lower level competition.
I think Chicken Little is going to have maybe 3 more fights and then he's off to his true calling....reality tv :rolleyes: ....oh he'll do wonderfully on Big Brother or whatever other crap you Brits watch

After the Sam Peter fight I don't know who Wlad can possibly fight that has really earned a shot, but I do believe he's up for an optional defense. Here are the rankings for the IBF and WBO titles....as bad as they are the WBA's is still worse and hell even beyond the ratings there's not a whole bunch left for Wlad to do in the division...maybe winning the WBC belt after he brother retires.
