Not really any holding from Mosley, at times he tries to smother Mayweathers arms a little to get some shots in while close. But not really holding.

The more I watch that video, the more I'm convinced that prime shane would have been tooooo much for floyd. At 135 or 147...way too strong. Floyd threw at the same time, got there first, and Mosley just went right through it only to hurt Floyd badly. Prime Mosley would have finished that fight in the second or third round....
Prime Mosley would have done well in that position but is Floyd in his prime? I don't think Prime Floyd gets caught with that shot
If its prime mosley throwing that punch, it would or will have landed on anybody at some point during the night including prime floyd. Shane was too fast/explosive not to land on even the best defenders at some point during a fight. The only reason I don't consider floyd prime at the higher weights is because he doesn't use his legs as much and prefers to stand his ground. He was hit flush not because of age or diminishing reflexes, but because floyd thought he would catch shane in the middle of a wide overhand, which he did. He just didn't expect it to have little effect. Although it still wasn't flush, neither was the shot Shane landed.Quote:

He had a good performance against Luis Collazo in 2007, but Luis Collazo broke his left hand in the 2nd round. So thats really in doubt how good Shane Mosley could of done had that not happened. Considering Luis Collazo was landing his left hand up until that point. And then couldn't use it for the rest of the fight.

That's one of the reasons I'm looking forward to Mosleys next fight, just to guage where that stamina is.
I've watched a few old Mosley fights recently and I must admit I forgot just how brilliant he was. Fast, strong and durable.

Go back and watch the winky fights esp the second, Shane was hammering him with hooks around his guard, that's why wink dropped his hands to prove he couldn't be hurt by shane. The second fight was very competitive, very. The mayorga fight, didn't shane win by kayo?

Winky was also bigger than shane and eventually went up to 170 for a bhop fight. So the game naturally smaller man lost to winky the guy who whitewashed tito, argubly beat Bhop, and def beat MW champ JT. Point is Shane landed on Winky too and shane at 154 was not prime. Floyd vs Winky at 154 would have yielded the same result, a win for winky over a smaller good man.
Shane KO'd Mayorga with about 3 seconds left in round 12, the bell went and Mayorga couldn't make the count!

The 2nd Winky Wright fight wasn't any real different to the 1st fight, except Shane Mosley was more spirited. But points wise it was still a pretty wide loss like 8 rounds to 4.
Ricardo Mayorga was only fighting once a year, and was destroyed by ODLH, i don't think anyone really excepted Shane Mosley to struggle that much i know i sure didn't. His accuracy was a bit all over the place, and he was only fighting in spurts.
Something a prime Shane Mosley never done, and as i said except for the last round it wasn't a good performance and to be honest i thought he looked shot.

No, I understand that you were agreeing, just think you were a little harsh on the winky performance saying shane didn't land "JACK SHIT" that's a stretch...and the second fight was 114-114, 115-113, 115-113..very close fight...
As much as I hate and despise him, he's one of the great fighters but to be considered among the elite of the elite in the scale of history and in the pantheon, he needs 2-3 big wins against big names in their primes to raise up his sometimes questionable roster. At the moment, based on the opposition, Pacquiao should be ahead of him in the list of the all time greats imho.
