Top time for Ricky Burns, was over the moon for him. He gave some great entertainment away from a scrappy wedding party that I was at. Excellent stuff.....

I think Frank will probably give him Nicky Cook next.

Without doubt Frank will keep that title in house. He must have plenty of domestic feathers/superfeathers/lightweights that will suddenly qualify as world-class contenders

Yet to see the fight but I recorded the whole show on Sky. Watched the Swifty Smith fight last night then went to bed but will watch it tonight - everyone is talking about it.

Bit pissed off he won though to be honest - had £20 on Martinez to win on points and Stephen Smith to win. I was more nervous about Smith winning to be honest, no one gave Burns a chance. Fair play though, chuffed for the lad.

I think the hype for Smith turned out to be a damp squid. He is skilled for sure but has to many flaws fights like an Am Martin Lindsay would do a job on him.

That's who he says he wants next - I think Frank Warren should give him another fight or two first, maybe even a rematch with John Simpson as it was a bloody close fight.
