First of all I am fairly new here but as far as best posters there are plenty of intelligent posters and all around great boxing fans up here. What is the importance of the reputation points? I have 2611, what does that do for me......if anything? Someone please answer.

They don't really do anything. Basically, the idea is that if you agree with something someone posts or you find it funny etc. you can give them rep points. Conversely, if you think they're being an idiot or a troll you can give them negative rep points. Even since the forum has changed to the new format they really don't mean much though.

They're not really indicative of a poster's quality unless they're all neg. reps. There are some great posters with low rep points and some less than great ones with high rep points.
