Doesn't matter if Fergie wants to sell him to them or not, he has to or he WILL go for nothing in 18 months time. Plus, he famously said he wouldn't sell Real Madrid a virus. Six months later Ronaldo was there.

It's nailed on imo. Still not sure what i think of it. What's your opinion on it mate? I'm still a bit shocked. Fully expected today's press conference to completely dismiss all the media stories this week.
It's all very surreal mate. Only a couple of months ago he was saying how he wanted to stay at the club for life etc etc. Not totally surprised though. I reckon someone has had a word in his ear from city promising him £250k a week which, let's all be honest, no one is going to turn down. United are still £500m in debt and we knew this would happen - as we saw with Tevez being let go, Ronaldo being sold and us bringing in Michael Owen. United are in a world of shit financially and this is why this isn't wholly suprising to be honest. Selling Rooney will pay off the £40m interest we are charged every year thanks to those c*nts, the Glazers.
He'll definitely end up at City. Chelsea can't afford his wages anymore (those days have gone) and Colleen's sister is very sick so it makes sense for him to stay in the area. As much as I hate it, City will be THE dominant side in English football and with all this money being thrown around, they can get anyone they want.
The only thing that has angered me is the fact he has shown the club any respect. Like Ferguson said, the club has helped him through troubles in the past and this is how he repays us. Then again, he showed no loyalty to Everton, his boyhood club, nor to his wife - so he sure as shit ain't gonna he showing any to Manchester United.
Just my 5 pence worth anyway.
