Jones is my hero but even in his prime I think Haye would have the speed to catch him a couple of times and with the size difference and Hayes natural power, I think that would be it for Jones!

Haye wins easy, look what he did to Ruiz who came in good shape. Roy outboxed the slow heavyweight but Haye is way faster and better. Roy would not step in the ring with haye.

Roy is one of my favorites, but I don't see him not getting knocked out. He was getting caught by punches by that time in his career, and Haye would be almost as fast and hits way harder than Roy. The heavyweight version of Roy Jones would not be able to beat Haye. I know people think Haye is a waste of space, but he would beat Roy. Haye is a more natural heavyweight and would eventually catch Roy.
The Jones Jr of several years ago was able to beat Ruiz without breaking a sweat. It's a possibility that Jones gets knocked out, but it's also quite possible that Jones outworks him for a decision. I am not sold on Haye as a HW and the Jones of yesteryear was quicker and seldom took a flush shot. Not saying your wrong as this is boxing, but Jones with all his speed and movement would be a tough fight for Haye.Quote:

One fight at heavyweight against Ruiz, does not make you a good heavyweight. A snail could make Ruiz look quick.
Haye has only a few fights against mediocre heavyweights himself. He isn't even a fully sized heavyweight as his weigh in against Harrison showed. Beating a couple of journey men and winning a paper belt against the worst champ does not make Haye a good HW. We are all dismissing Jones based on what has happened since he went back down after trimming the muscle against Ruiz. Before then Jones Jr was still the best fighter in the world. Haye is not as quick as Jones and has stamina issues. Jones would pot shot and move and frustrate Haye. Sure, Haye might get lucky and spark him out, but few people landed clean on Jones back then.Quote:
