His gift decision against Castillo? That was a really close fight that I believe he won, as do many people. ANd what did Floyd came right back and beat him more convincingly. Paquiao never came back right away to face Morales or JMM after their first fights nor did he face JMM against after his second fight which was close.
Posting this stuff I think is useless, Pacquiao isn't that fighter anymore. He's an amazing fighter now with offensive gifts and determination we haven't seen before. THat being said everyone is beatable even Floyd.
Both of them in recent years, well Floyd since he started, have been amazing at getting to their peak level right at fight time, and they don't fade in big fights. They have that dynamic ability to always "show up" and put on great performances.

vs Oscar dela Hoya - Manny, coming up from 2 weight class after having fought just once in the 135 lb wight division against someone who is not even regarded as the best in that division, is considered as the heavy underdog. Almost everyone thought that this fight is a mismatch in favor of Oscar.
vs Hatton - Manny is seen as fighting a live opponent who is comfortable and undefeated in that weight division. Several posters here predicted a win by Ricky and Freddie Roach was ridiculed for predicting an early stoppage within 3 rounds.
vs Cotto - Manny is seen fighting a 'damaged' opponent although that is debatable. Cotto is again on top of a higher division at 154 lbs. Cotto's choice and performance against succeeding opponents will tell us how 'damaged' he really is.
vs Clottey - A fight that Clottey wasn't expected to win so no comment.
vs Margarito - Another one of those considered 'damaged' opponent after his beating at the hands of Mosley. Margarito fought an excellent fight that would have been competitive against some top fighters in the division.
upcoming fight vs Mosley - A fight that should not have been made. This one is for the money and would add nothing to Manny's legacy. But like millions of fans, I will pay to watch this fight.
