Physically he's already there. Guy is huge and just a pitstop at 135. Only guy I see him staying around for is Soto.
It all comes down to how much his chin will take. He's not learning backfoot and adding too much anytime soon. I think what you see is what you get. Don't see him getting a Khan, just a bit risk-reward ration for Khan who has scraped together a peak. I think range and mobilty kill Rios, you couldnt miss him if you tried but you better be willing to soak up some damage yourself. Bradley way too diverse and deep for him right now. Alexander wont touch-fight him and doesn't bring hardware to the table. Lots and lots of possibilty for him and has big promotion. Likes to brawl and great confidence. Might go by quick but should be fun to watch.

Rios has a long long way to go before he is ready for the best at 140....This kid could make 147 easy and do it in shape but his skillset would make him nothing more then a journeyman there
I don't think he's limited at all. He completely dominated Antony Peterson who is one of America's best boxers at the weight.
Acosta was a very decent fighter too, with KO wins over Paulus Moses and Urban Antillon taking both their undefeated records in the process.
I'm not sure Maidana has beaten any better guys than those two. Ortiz is decent but so far he's flash and hype over any actual substantial acomplishments. Certainly he made harder work of Peterson than Rios did.
I think Rios KO's Maidana in a brutal war.
Maidana has been in with Better IMO...Peterson just went awry in that fight he basically looked for a way out and got a DQ in his efforts....Just the fact Maidana has been in with lasted 12 and shook the shit out of Khan tops any of Rios comp alone..,.

I think Bradley could beat him. I'd have my heart in my mouth as long as it lasted if Khan took that fight. I actually think stylistically he has a better chance of beating Khan than anyone else does at 140. I could see Khan beating Bradley but being KO'd by Rios, whilst I'd go with Bradley to outpoint Rios down the stretch.
But I certainly have Bradley as number 1 at 140. I think Rios mixes well with all of them.

I think Rios is garbage. Zero skills, no speed, stamina is suspect, he gets whooped on as soon as he steps up to the elite.

He has the style to make any fight he is in exciting because he is all pressure....Spicoli mentioned it best when he stated just how long can he keep this style up?....It has been my experience that guys like Rios once stopped for the first time develope soft spots easy to be exposed by top fighters...EG-Edison Miranda...Exciting come forward fighter that once stopped has been stopped by others in much easier fashion.....
If Rios does not tweak his style with needed improvements guys who can box well and deal with pressure will eat him up and fold him like paper even ones who do not punch overly hard

I think he's a beast at lightweight. Hell of a chin and the power to wreck fighters.
To me he's like a better version of Maidana, I think I'd make him a favourite against them all apart from Bradley.
He'd be a nightmare for Amir Khan and would break Alexanders heart for sure.
I'd love to see him in the mix at 140.
He is a monster. Reminds me of a combination of LaMotta and Cotto.
