Ranked?
Pacquiao and Margarito were ranked 1 and 2 by the WBC. That's why they fought for the title. You must be ranked by the org to fight for the championship so that's what WBC did. ;)
and why talk about that? We have a new WBC 154 Champion and we have guys like Paul Williams, Vanes et al scrambling for slots to fight the new champion.
yea they were ranked at 154 the same way that Alvarez and Hatton were ranked at 154, by doing nothing at 154, how the hell were Pacquiao and Margarito 1 & 2 when A) Pacquiao never fought at the weight and B) Margarito has still never won a fight at a world stage (or period) at 154? horrid rankings is a problem with boxing and Manny Pacquiao vs Margarito was a perfect example of it

You just described a good chunk of boxing...
umm isn't that what your favorite fighter just did for a jr middleweight title at 150 lbs. ?
Pac was at risk losing against the 17 pound bigger Margo who was in fact built for the junior middleweights. No disrespect to Saul he fought a much smaller guy, lacked the skill and power to be a threat whatsoever.
he wasn't at risk of shit, i'm not a Pacquiao fan by any means but look back a the threads to that fight and all i did was go on about how Pacquiao would win and that it wouldn't even be close, well the fight came and went and it was a shutout, why? cause Margarito isn't that good and much less without the wraps, Alvarez Vs. Hatton wasn't much different than Pacquiao Vs. Margarito, only difference the smaller guy didn't pick up the title and wasn't the favorite going in
