I think he was fighting a German in Spain.
He got a couple of points taken off for hitting the guy in the face. Think he knocked the guy down and it was given as a slip, and then when the German fellow was badly hurt the bell suddenly went to end the round with about 1.20 still to go. Shocking stuff.

Wow dude, this is horrible! Not just the blatant fixing but the total disregard for both of the fighters wellbeing! and as for Coggi's corner, sending him back in when he was clearly not there at all...doing that to your own fighter is despicable.

And to top it off Gonzalez's corner had to step into the ring to stop their then very unaware fighter getting pummelled! Was not nice to watch in parts!

After seeing that I cant complain about Joe Cortez as much!

I always thought that incident was way over blown. Obviously it isn't Cole's place to say that to a fighter. But it's not like it was secret information. Everybody in the building, including Jaca's mom knew Marquez was winning the fight. He was pitching a shut out. Cole was just stating the obvious. Now if the fight was close and there wasn't a clear winner yet than I can understand the backlash. But not here. It was something small turned into something big

agree, only thing is that well it's more a case of lack of professionalism on Cole's part

That's not the only time Laurence Cole has done wrong, there was 1 time on Friday Night Fights where he screwed up and the crowd was throwing trash at him and Teddy Atlas was foaming at the mouth talking about what a disgrace to boxing Cole is....I don't remember exactly what Cole did, but it got heated I do remember that.

Whenever he reffed a Rocky Juarez or Juan Diaz fight he was really biased.
