Re: whats the most disapointing fight in the history of the sport?
I disagree with Jones/Hopkins 2 being "disappointing", because their first fight was absolutely unwatchable so I'm not sure why anyone was expecting anything more from the 2nd fight.
Biggest disappointment (for me at least) was Tyson/Lewis. After all the buildup, to see Tyson look like utter shit and get destroyed so easily was really disappointing.

tyson/lewis was a massive anti climax all things considering
1st round was fun, after that it just turned into a beating. Lewis should of had him out of their after 4rds, absolutely no need to continue the punishment
khan-barrera was also a big fuk off anti climax. Honestly thought we were in for a classic scrap, the cut ruined what could of been a great fight
Re: whats the most disapointing fight in the history of the sport?
for me these spring to mind :
Haye v Valuev was a bore.
Tyson v Boneclutcher promised fireworks and was awful.
Leonard v Duran 3 was a joke.
Khan v Prescott , i really thought prescott could have got khan out of there earlier.

in recent memory id like to say audley v haye was disapointing, but i knew it was gonna happen
hatton v pac was disapointing, but just coz of the mannor in which our boy was taken appart
moore v picarillo was a bit disapointing, all my mates was round mine, full fridge of beer expecting a barnstormer as most of moores at that level were and it was an easy night
froch v dirrell
Oh look, all fights involving British fighters. I'd never have guessed.

element of truth in that
stayed up till silly o`clock watching cotto-mayorga hoping somewhere in the fight mayorga could put a dent in cottos armour just to make it interesting. But at the end of the night i wouldnt of been dissapointed to of seen any fighter win/lose as i would be if it was a brit involved
Re: whats the most disapointing fight in the history of the sport?
Nationality doesn't really have any bearing with me.
British or not.
It's all to do with talent and/or personality.
Alvarez vs Hatton, I stayed up for, but was rooting for Alvarez. More exciting fighter, more to offer, Hatton bores me.

As a United fan, and the amount of shit that England has brought our players, I am not England's biggest fan. Never want them to lose (in major tournaments anyway) but not passionate about them at all. Why should I cheer on players I genuinely don't like - the same with British boxers? Why should I cheer on someone just because they're British? Even if they are total bellends? I shouldn't.

fuks sake that was years back all that happened
i take pride in my countryman and the fact they want to put us on the map for their sporting capabilities. I completely understand where your coming from though as with certains sport where england/britain is concerned i couldnt give 2shits

Yeah, it's still there mate.
Anyway, I am a fan of the majority of British boxers anyway. There's only a couple of exceptions. Everyone is different.

i am a united fan from salford and the united v england thing is only there with bellends unfortunately
the real united fans cheer on the national side as much as they do their club side
i had a discussion with a couple of "united fans" on another forum, all this united>england bollox just before the world cup, shocking attitude
mind you they were from peterborough or somewhere, says it all

Which forum was that out of interest?
