A 168lb version of Roy with today's crop? I will say this even with the taelnt at SMWQ right now Jones when he was at 168 would have beaten them all...Man was jones an amazing athlete as a 168lb fighter!!
I would like to see a prime Pryor in the 140lb mix....
Tommy hearns @ 147
Gonna do more then just one... if you don't mind.
Dick Tiger - Fought at 160/168 would love to see him today. What an amazing fighter he was.
Hilario Zapata - An amazing skilled fighter vastly overlooked and sadly forgotten by many.
Ruben Olivares - All guts and glory fighter, who never let off. He fought until his last breath.
Jose Napoles - A brilliant boxer who could outbox you nicely or finish you off with a devastating KO.
Kid Chocolate - Speed, skills just a sensational boxer who would come out guns blazing every time.
Too many to mention but a few that immediately spring to mind are:
Muhammad Ali - had skills beyond belief for a man who weighed 210+. An absolute legend!!
George Foreman - Without doubt the greatest puncher in the history of boxing.
Evander Holyfield - My personal favourite HW as I remember his prime. No one now comes close in talent or heart!
Roy Jones Jr - IMO the greatest athlete to ever step foot in a boxing ring. Still watch his prime fights regular!
Ray Robinson - The greatest p4p fighter in the history of the sport and one man who would certainly beat Pac and PBF.
Kostya Tszyu - p4p one of the best punchers ever and IMO still the greatest 140 fighter ever. Even better than the Hawk.
There are many, many more that spring to mind and are equally as deserving as the 6 I have mentioned, I just don't have time to go through them now. Great thread idea though!
Barrera 118-122 + give him Nonitos number :-X
Or....Saad
I'd settle on raw early Mercer
Valero, I wanted to see him vs Pac.
Ike Ibeabuchi, just to see if he could live up to potential.
Joe Frazier, wanna see him smokin vs a Klitshcko.
Would like to see Khaosai Galaxy or Michael Carbajal prime again. Both made me become fans of lower weight fighters and appreciate fighters that fought in the lower weight classes.
I'd love to see my fav Gerald McClellan back in the mix, on two levels also. Firstly to give the guy a second chance at life, and secondly because my god could he punch, and he also had beautiful timing and footwork to give anyone the shits at 168.
Charley Burley, Jimmy Bivins, Lloyd Marshall, Holman Williams, Jack Chase, Tiger Wade, Bert Lytell, Eddie Booker & Joe Carter :p
Marco Antonio Barrera :D
