Kinda funny how the first person that really brought up an issue with PEDs was Vernon Forrest when he fought Mayorga, but no one really paid attention to it and saying on more than one occasion he thought Shane Mosley was on them. Now every boxer and their mom is bringing it up as "trash talk" now. I think Hopkins is gonna win the rematch but we all thought James Toney would come in and beat Sam Peter easily after the way he "won" the first fight and it didn't happen, somehow I don't think Hopkins is gonna have an easier time.

I think Hopkins gets stopped.

He got dropped twice in the last fight. Pascal has quick hands and a nice bit of power, he had Dawson almost out on his feet.

Yes Hopkins came on near the end but I think it was more a case of Pascal tiring than Hopkins picking it up. This time, I see a better Pascal stopping Hopkins.

I thought that was funny, Hopkins shoves him but has no answer to the simple "will you take the tests". Again, another fighter is making himself look suspect by refusing to answer a simple question, let alone take any tests.

hopkins will lose this fight. bernard looked about as good as he could have at this point in his career.
...and yes pascal lost the last fight fight and was given a gift draw. but he looked about as bad as he could've on that night.

so i see pascal coming in looking much better and bernard coming in about the same...therefore: pascal ud/maybe even ko.

If this were in negotiations i could see how it would look suspect on why he wouldn't answer the question, or take any test. This is at the press confrence, if Pascal had any concens it should have happened at the negotiations. Then we would have all heard about it and it would have been suspect. But to ask him because someone in the crowd tells him to ask Bhop about PED's...plain stupid to me.

Hopkins has all the motivation he needs now. I'm picking hopkins by ko :cool:

I use to like Pascal, he seemed a decent man. Hopkins won the first fight with the body shots which slowed down Pascal and I hope he can do it again.

Bernard is 46 years old and still going hard. Its not that unreasonable to question whether or not he's using PEDs.

This is true, however Hopkins is a 46 year old man with legendary discipline regarding his training and eating habits who has never failed a drug test and has a style that is not heavily dependent on athleticism moreso than it is on technique, tactics and the sweet science. Pascal is just acting like a girl trying to stir up sh*t to hype the fight or get in his head because as previously stated in this thread if he had legitimate concern about PED's the issue would have been addressed in negotiations.

I actually find all of it interesting because I've NEVER seen anyone get inside Hopkins mind like Pascal seems to have done. From the test comment and everything, Hopkins throughout the years has always been the guy playing the mind games, making people shook, making them get mad at press conferences, getting inside their head. This is the first time I've ever seen someone actually GET to Hopkins, rather than the other way around,

Good point there. Either way I can't wait to see that fight.

I'm going with Pascal also since Pascal cannot be worse than his last fight, and Hopkins cannot do better.

i read this somewhere in an article about this press conference that pascal was implying that it was an industry rumor that hopkins was on something.

hopkins has shown himself to be a cheater, liar and faker in the ring in the past.

look at the echols fight as one example. (and if you haven't seen it you really should. he really shows what a piece of shit he is and how ruthless he's willing to be to win.)

so is it such a stretch to question if he cheats in the gym as well?

There is one thing stretching the rules in your favour in the ring and outside psychologically by annoying Tito for example and cheating on drugs, which BHop would never do.
