Jackie "the kid" Berg needs to be mentioned somewhere on this thread. Trained by Ray Arcel after he moved to the states and beat Kid Chocolate. He was from Stepney according to his wiki page.
And why no Ricky Hatton. There's only one.

that is true
brodie definately has some ties with salford, he was in the advertiser regularly as a salford fighter
i have seen him around the place too (sainsburies and B&Q to be precise :))
