like a chump, not even friggin trying!
had it been me, i woulda got ko'ed and went out swinging with everything, and i would have got credit, respect, and kept my honor.
instead, the guy i respected so much years ago totally screwed us out of a good fight, and let me down for the last time.
very easy to say mate when you sat at home in front of your PC
wonder how you would have felt if you were in there getting wapped off the top boxer in the world
Re: Mosley wanted to quit.
Apparently he had a torn ACL going into camp, and developed a huge blister on the opposite foot witch popped during the fight.
The footage is from a fight camp episode set to air on June 4th.. Some interesting things may come up, during that, I guess.

I don't think the old Shane ever experienced such things... Probably thought, "so this is what all my opponents have felt after i've knocked them the f out!"
He only knows one way, and that's to battle through it like a warrior....
Time to find a new passion though as the guy clearly still has a tonne of it... But getting in the ring should be a way of expressing it anymore. Just for the safety of well being of fighters, they should walk away from the sport on a high, and with all of their faculties still functioning well..

I was gutted with Shanes performance but after seeing that I cut him a bit of slack. Most people have never been in the ring and do not know what it is like to fight, I had to fight 2 people at once for 3 rounds as part of my kickboxing Black belt exam on a wooden floor with blisters on both my feet and it was one of the hardest things ive ever had to do it was so painfull. I couldnt even walk afterwards and driving home after was a nightmare.
Did you fight and complete your test?
Shane didn't? Seeing that video, his purse should get pulled. I'll rather see RJJ go out on his shield, then Shane run like that.

Thats true
#1FightFan, when you have won multiple world titles and fought some of the best of your time and it's coming to the end of your career and you step in against P4P the best boxer on the planet at close to 40 years old......I'm sure you would do exactly as you say.
Re: Mosley wanted to quit.
Any ordinary fighter can not do that to Mosley even at his age. He was against one of the best fighters of all time( and could probably become the GOAT).
Pacquaio is simply faster than anyone he had fought.

I think Mayweather hit him with more straight rights than pac hit him with straight lefts, so I dont think its fair to say it was just the speed that did it to him. He was obviously losing the fight and if he was injured than thats just going to kill any confidence you had in yourself to win the fight. Injured and losing, your not going to be in a good state of mind are you.
Re: Mosley wanted to quit.
Mosley's been on the way out for years now and he had nothing left after the floyd fight. He was damaged goods going into this fight and I never gave him a hope in hells chance of winning. It is amazing he got to the 12 round.
Not surprised to see this at all really.
Re: Mosley wanted to quit.
If Mosley had quit on his stool the fans would have been pissed, it sounded like to me Mosley wanted to quit, "I can't move" but Nazim talked him out of it.

If Mosley had an injury that was hindering him then he shouldn't have fought. Money talks I guess, but it serves him right. Obviously it wasn't Pac that was making him want to stop it was the blister and leg trouble, but still I don't know why you would have blisters on your feet prior to a fight or be training injured. It's not fair on himself or the fans who might have put money on him.

Blisters, leg problems, the real problem is Shane just doesn't have it anymore, and isn't able to compete at the elite level. Take the money and run Shane, you had a HOF career.

Agreed, his previous two fights told the story really. He should never have been given the fight with Manny. Good for the fighters financially, but another 6 months in which the so called best fighter in the world went without a real challenge.
Re: Mosley wanted to quit.
But that's what it comes down to.
Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao really aren't that different.
Maximum reward for miniscule risk. It's sensible really.

Yes I passed my test and got my 1st dan and felt I got the better of the 2 fighters I was fighting but I was only fighting 3 rounds not 12 and the 2 fighters I was fighting where definetley not on the same level as Pac lol.

Thats all the fight was about to begin with = money, Mosley was chosen by Bob Arum because he was a big/recognizable name, who could help put butts in the seats and build up the PPV.
