Re: Mayweather needs a southpaw as a warm-up
Whoever wins between Pacquiao and Mayweather will be pure speculation. I can see Manny winning by knock-out or stoppage and Floyd winning on points.
But as per their last negotiation it was Mayweather who did not make the fight happen. He went on vacation instead of fighting Manny just to come back to fight someone else. If Floyd's fight with Ortiz is a warm-up, then so be it. There shouldn't be anymore excuses from both of them in a third negotiation.
Re: Mayweather needs a southpaw as a warm-up
Picasso Floyd deserves all the credit in the world for taking on a dangerous young lion like Ortiz. This is no joke of a fight like some say..
Pacman would get dominated by Floyd.. He would get dissected slowly and drowned late.
Marquez schooled his ass so what do you think Floyd would do... IT doesn't take a rocket scientist to know who'll win.

Ortiz may be dangerous but not to Mayweather. Just look at the betting odds.
Bets MAYWEATHER JR, FLOYD vs ORTIZ, VICTOR, 17 September 2011 betting odds
So your statement about "some say" is wrong.

Just like what I said, this is still just speculation. If only Floyd thinks this way then the fight with Manny would have been made long time ago without any silly demands on his part, nor would he have taken a vacation. He would have grabbed on to the opportunity of getting so much money by beating someone you think he can easily dominate and go on permanent retirement with enough to spare for his legal fees.
The boxers know themselves better so who do we believe?
Re: Mayweather needs a southpaw as a warm-up
like i said, floyd is using this as a southpaw warmup.

I got a feeling Floyd is gonna get his ass kicked by Ortiz.
Re: Mayweather needs a southpaw as a warm-up
i cant see a 34 yr old beating a 24 yr old. sorry just cant see it. we're not talking about george foreman here. these lighter weights turn sour alot faster than heavies do.

That would be an upset the level of Tyson - Douglas IMO.
But in any case... highly highly doubtful.

You dont believe that. lol.. If someone put a gun to your face and made you choose, would you dare say Ortiz? I bet not..
Re: Mayweather needs a southpaw as a warm-up
Regardless of who wins when pac and money finally face off one things for sure, it will be a hell of an event that could possibly bring boxing back to the limelight. I myself would hope for a Mayweather win on the basis that i like his style, many people find it boring and say he is a bitch and all the good stuff but, i believe that it is one of the prettiest art forms the boxing world has seen in a while. I do on the other hand really like Manny's speed and power combination, and who wouldnt. I think that the fight if won by Manny will be by ko if won by Floyd it will be by dec. I just wish everyone would stop hating both guys, root for one or the other but dont hate the other. They both seem like nice guys, i just dont like reading all the shit talk. To me it sounds like a bunch of little kids arguing. And as Mr. Gump says......... "That's about all I got to say bout that."

Take the āsā away as it was only one simple demand that Floyd made: random blood tests. Which Floyd is willing to take as well with no problem what so ever. One demand vs all the demands Pac, Freddy Roach, and Bob Arum made.

Point is that he wouldn't put his money on it.
Re: Mayweather needs a southpaw as a warm-up
For all the ones that are saying that you expect Victor Ortiz to give Floyd Mayweather a beating I can already see them dissing Floyd if he wins "Well, Ortiz wasn't that good after all...he was too green...he was no good anyways...".
