Keeps boxing in the news, HBO didn't agree with a decision, let's suspend the judges. There's been a lot of questionable decisions lately, they should suspend them all if that's the case. This is an era where when you lose a fight, the judges can be suspended and you can protest the fight be declared a no contest, and when you can sue another fighter for pre fight trash talk. Just suck it up and fight again. If they are really about ridding corruption in the sport than fine, but if this is just an isolated incident because it gets national attention then its just another tease.

Lara is begging for a rematch. Goosen has his sights on cashing out with a 3rd Martinez fight as it makes more money for his company and his fighter before PW is retired violently.

rumor going around is that Goosen is trying hard for the Martinez fight and has thrown out Molina (who beat Cintron and previously drew with Lara) as another possibility. I could see him fighting Molina as it is a credible name, who isn't a southpaw.

I said this in the other thread. 8 of Williams' last 10 opponents were southpaws. The two who weren't, Cintron & Margarito, weren't having trouble finding him either. For whatever reason, they've clearly aimed to match him with lefties where possible. Southpaws aren't the problem. Williams & what he's being taught are.

Yeah this suprises me but I have a feeling that something is fishy here. I think either the poster before me who said that they are doing it because HBO doesn't agree with the decision and it keeps boxing in the news might be on to something. Either that or someone has discovered legitimate evidence of a shady deal and the facts haven't come out. Don't get me wrong I think that this is great but there have been worse decisions over the years where no judges has been suspended so I will reserve judgement for now because that leads me to believe that all of the facts have not been brought to light.

Threw more, landed fewer.

If you think Compubox is compelling? By total number of punches landed Lara wins 6-3-3.

By power punches? Lara wins 7-4-1.

Yep.

Pro boxing judging doesnt have a clear cut way of scoring, just who you think gave a better impression during a round and because of this, how can anyone be wrong?

There are too many interpretations of wjat wins a round and because of it you get instances like this. If we were sat ringside looking up at the action from one fixed position we would see different to what the TV shows us.

They were not suspended for the decision, one judge was showing his card and talking to one of williams promoters during the fight, at least that is what they are saying and showing with photo's and video.

You must not have watched the fight Hunter, Lara landed nearly 60%-70% of the effective punches, and about the same percent of the power punches in the fight.

hell, i was rooting for paul too, but the fact remains he got owned, easily.
wake up! this is what is bad about boxing! corruption, and the decision always going to the popular fighter, whether they actually win or not.

Um MORON? I called this a robbery, a word I almost never use (because it is almost never true).

And there is no logical reason to link that view to any particular remedy. Endorsing protested fights and appealing decisions etc sends boxing down a TERRIBLE path.

Go for the rematch.

This is good news, Lara especially has really made some corrupt judging.

I hope we see this happen more often
