Its easy to hate on a fighter, if they're well established you can say they don't deserve it, if they are new you can say they are unproven, If they are bigging themselves up you can call them cocky, if they lose you can say they are punching beyond their division,
or just respect fighters as the fighters they are, and if you think someone is shit, call the out, get in the ring and prove you're better...
Don't be so silly.
Re: why are boxing fans so negative?
I don't buy all this 'go easy on them, you wouldn't have the balls' shit - Yeh, but I am not earning millions of quid in my chosen profession. The fans pay their wages and deserve to be entertained and have their say.
Re: why are boxing fans so negative?
one of the things that makes me giggle the most is some fighter turns pro and has 5 fights and then all the comments on here are
he won the fight BUT he isnt world class
flippin ek people, I wonder if manny pac was world class after 5 fights

Let's be honest, the majority of fighters, and especially the British ones, aren't going to turn into a Manny Pac. Pretty poor example.

Manny after 5 fights didnt look like he could turn into the type of fighter he is today
Re: why are boxing fans so negative?
You may perceive them to be negative because they may be having a go at your particular fighter Eric44? But as has been said fans are negative about all fighters, even when it is not warranted. You can tell sometimes if a fighter will be a world class fighter from their first 5 fights, Lennox Lewis comes to mind, however you can never be sure they will become champion because things happen.

its not one particular fighter i am thinking about
read 90% of the threads on here about any fighter, the first reply will be negative
