The Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles. The former Red Lion Hotel in Ontario, California.
Re: Best arena or venue that you have watched boxing in?
I've had the honor and privilege to have sat within the 1st 3 rows of every fight card I've attended. When you sit that close it really don't matter.
MGM
Mandalay
Olympic Auditorium
Home Depot Center
Staples
Maywood AC
Alameda PL
Pechanga Casino

I've been to Dallas Stadium and MGM. Dallas' screen is something you will not see anywhere else! It makes the ring look so much smaller though. The entire stadium is actually breathtaking. Everything is state of the art.
I feel in MGM, no matter where you sit, you get a great view of the fight.

MEN in Manchester is top of the pops for me too.
Looking forward to big fights being staged at the new Leeds arena when its completed i the next few years.

Without a doubt, hands down, ...MADISON FUCKING SQUARE MOTHERFUCKIN GARDEN.
No place like that for a fight. I was there twice: 1983 Marvin Hagler vs Mustafa Hamsho, and 1996 Golota vs Bowe I. (glad I got out of there alive)

But for me you can't beat Manchester MEN. Good view wherever you are - even if the guy in front is 7 foot tall. Been to about ten shows there. You actually have a better view in the first rows of the tiered seats than you do at the back of ringside (and save about £200 !!)
Was in Philadelphia couple of years ago doing my lifelong ambition Rocky Tour. Though no fights were scheduled at Blue Horizon I went along to see it but door was locked. As I was looking through some woman opened it and asked what I wanted. She heard by broad yorkshire accent and on realising I had come halfway round the world invited me in for a quick tour. Had a look round and can only imagine what its like on a fight night as MHM says. You are so close to the action it must be amazing ! Tommy Gunn had a fight there in Rocky V !
The woman told me she was only first female afro american fight promoter in the state or something like that. Forget what she was called. Still an interesting day.
Gone off on a bit of a tangent there but you get the general idea ;)
Good little story! anything else interesting to tell us about on our Rocky tour? Me and my bro always talk about doing something similar.
Check this out
