He left the UFC because Dana wouldn't give him his promised title shot after he KTFO'd Bisping (instead giving it to Belfort, who Hendo dominated less than two years prior), and StrikeForce gave him more money. You're making it sound like he went 0-3 and got bounced, ge left over a contract dispute as the rightful number one contender on a 3 fight streak over top competition.

This is what worries me more than anyhthing, the contract dispute he had with UFC at the time, now Zuffa own Strikeforce, are they gonna be willing to do business with a man who turned his back on them. Same thing happened with UFC and Fedor, now he's been dropped from their rosta. Of course his situation is different to Hendo's, at least Hendo has been winning.
Some good discussion points here ;)
Hendo in my eye's can hang with all of them except Jones, Hendo would seriously get beat up. Anyone else he would give a good fight, and, as mentioned, IF that big right lands on anyone from 180-205 then it's gonna hurt, and they will be in trouble.
The Machida match up would be a good barometer for him at 205, or Leben at Middleweight. That I would like to see, In fact put him in with either Munoz or Leben, both would prove tough competition at MW.
Anyone thinking of going to UFC 138 at Birmingham ?

Dana said in an interview he has no problem with Hendo and he likes him. He said the move to Strikeforce was simply a business move for Hendo because they were offering more money. Now Zuffa own both companies im guessing the money will be similar therefore the better fights arfe in the UFC so i guess he will be back there.
Fedor on the other hand never wanted to fight in the UFC and from what i read and see they gave him great offers but his promotion declined. Now look at him his legacy has become questionable and he is on a 3 fight losing streak.
I'm planning on going to UFC 138 although the card isn't great because its not a PPV due to the time the main event should be one hell of a fight and Hathaway is ont he card. Also when Dan gets the win this weekend hopefully he will get on the card! OIOI!
Re: Henderson for UFC ?!?
Just checked and Jason Young is on the card against Omigawa that will be a great fight!

Yes he has a punchers chance, and knowing Dana could well come back and virtually walk into a title shot off the back of the Fedor win so it's not impossible.
I just think the best guys are all ahead of him right now and I'd fancy Jones, Rampage, Rashaad and Machida over hij, maybe Rua too.
Saying he's on a level with Forrest Griffin isn't a bad thing. He's had some good wins. But I'm sure none of you realistically expect Griffin to be UFC champion again, and I'd say the same of Hendo.
Although following on from his win over Fedor if he does come back he will likely land a big fight.
I'm just going to stick my neck out and say against one of those top guys I mentioned he won't win it.
I've decided your mad! ;D
He was given a rematch against Anderson for the title i wouldn't call that a failure! He left the UFC on a high and the only reason he didn't get that fight is because an over hyped Vitor came back to the UFC and Dana took it away from him! In no way did he fail! Face it Hendo would favour well in the UFC light heavyweight devision. Simple.

From what I understood, he made a demand/request for more money, and was told no thanks, we dont think your worth it, demanding something like £1m fight package
Did ya see the interview with Chael Sonnen talking about Fedor before the Hendo fight (On youtube somewhere), if not check it out, funny as fuck ! Really having a go at how shit Fedor is, claiming his fight record was 1-2, and asking who the fuck is this Fedor? what do we know about him ? all we know is that he has lost his last two fights ! Chael simply does not acknowledge anything Fedor has done pre-US fights !

I'm an avid watcher of Chael interviews! I've seen that and the one with Ariel is really good too when he talks about the nog brothers trying to feed a bus! Also there was a Q&A with him last friday you can see it on the UFC website.
I didn't think he made an offer he just declined there offer. Dana said he made a ridiculous offer to him that he would get more money than he has so far and he would go straight up against Brock for the title. He also said that Fedors team went there knowing they wouldn't take the deal which doesn't surprise me.

With the Hendo negotiations, I remember Dan asking for "Tito money", which was like $300 grand flat rate per fight (I don't what that is in pounds), it was like a %50 raise. I also remember Dana and Dan making jokes about eachother and laughing in the media. I think it was pretty clearly just business.
With Fedor, I think M-1 was just fucking with Dana. With how much shit Dana's talked about Fedor, I can't imagine how he ever expected to sign him. I suspect they just liked watching Dana go back and forth with his bullshit. When they were negotiating, "Fedor's great, a true legend, the biggest signing we could ever make", etc., when they're not, "Fedor's shit, he hasn't fought anybody, he's afraid of the UFC", etc. He looked like an idiot during that period.
Hendo's last fight in the UFC he earned $250 so he wasn't far off $300. But Tito earned $450 against Bader but usually he earns $250. So i don't imagine he asked for Tito money.
