Re: New evidence in Arturo Gatti death?
hmmm it says he was hung with a handbag strap. maybe it was an accident. she could have been hitting him with the purse and it got caught around his neck and fell over. Unlikely but possible I guess. Or maybe ive just seen too many movies
Re: New evidence in Arturo Gatti death?
I remember reading about it and the 1 thing i found dodgy was that the wife was in the apartment/flat/property for a long time after the death.....not sure what that means does that mean she was sat with a body in the next room without knowing?
don't think we'll ever know

Depends whats on TV. If she's only 20 mins into The Green Mile he's still going to be dead at the end so might as well see it through. It doesnt have to be sinister.

Re: Gatti: A new investigation rules suicide absolutely impossible
Suicide was always the most probable answer. Now it's impossible?
Can someone translate that please?

remind us all how this little woman murdered this professional boxer with her bare hands?
He was hammered. Besides, there are plenty of ways to kill people that don't involve overwhelming physically.
& if it's a woman it is most likely to be shooting or poison as we aren't generally physically strong enough to overpower men, drunk or not.
Were there any symptoms of him being physically overpowered though? He was just hung, it's not like he had his skull smashed in (as far as I know). That could have been accomplished a bunch of different ways, especially if he was shit-faced.
drag a body so that it's weight hangs itself?
Who knows how he died. He could have been killed though other means and then hung. A competent/uncorrupt investigation would reveal that pretty easier I would think, but from all impartial accounts that type of investigation never occurred.

E:60 and Jeremy Schaap did a story on this maybe a year ago.
Lots of strange things going on.
Here it is.

And I'm not sure why we would think it was even possible to do a proper investigation a year later.
Re: Gatti: A new investigation rules suicide absolutely impossible
i'm not buying her emotional reactions during the interview. she seems insincere.
she also didn't directly answer the question about being involved in his death.
Re: Gatti: A new investigation rules suicide absolutely impossible
any moron can see this was an inside job. gatti was murdered.
my guess is that she found a new brazilian lover, and they wanted to run off w/ gattis money in hand. a big set up was planned, well, and they got away with it.
poor Arturo. such a great fighter!
i hope someone avenges him...

Wasn't he intoxicated enough to down an elephant?
Re: Gatti: A new investigation rules suicide absolutely impossible
well, I've fallen asleep sitting on the toilet while my head was resting on the sink.....I still woke up when someone said my name. Not sure how drunk I would have to be to not put up any kind of reflex struggle if someone was trying to kill me

Yeah you've got me. If there is any merit to these new allegations it really speaks woefully for the judicial system in Brazil. How on earth could they now determine that suicide was "impossible" without performing another autopsy(which wasn't done initially)? Would it even be possible after this length of time?
