Re: Would Ali KO Lewis a little FASTER than he did Foreman?
Yes but no way can Ali be regarded a one punch KO man. Thats what it took to beat Lewis imo
I remember Whittaker registering a handful of sensational one punch KOs (no idea who opponents were) and he for many is the first name that comes to mind when talking of feather fisted champs.

I think he has the kind of power to turn a fight round with one punch, he showed that few times in his career. But no it wouldn't be his power it would be his faster feet and faster punches that would do the job.
As for Pernell Whitaker if anyone question's his power, i suggest they watch Diosbelys Hurtado/Pernell Whitaker thats one of the most brutal KO's i've ever seen.
Re: Would Ali KO Lewis a little FASTER than he did Foreman?
yeah but the stats don't lie when it comes to punching power
there's a rumour that even Malignaggi stopped a couple of people

That's because Pernell Whitaker was often moving backwards, and doing so many feints. It's hard to get serious power when your doing all that, i think when he had to he had underrated power. Check out KO of Diosbelys Hurtado he almost kills him.
Re: Would Ali KO Lewis a little FASTER than he did Foreman?
Pernell got his knock downs and knock outs from good body punching. Ali was with speed and accuracy, neither were one punch KO artists, even McCallum landed the one shot against Curry does not make him a one punch KO artist.
Re: Would Ali KO Lewis a little FASTER than he did Foreman?
Im sorry but a prime Ali would have beaten Lewis hands down, you cant question the greatest, he was faster, stronger, fitter and smarter then his opponents.
Lewis wouldnt stand a chance

I would not say he was stronger than Lewis but agree about everything else.

I meant it in the sense of like the general opponents he fought but against more modern boxers they seem to be stronger, but still wouldnt beat a prime Ali because he was just the greatest all round boxer, which we havent seen much of since.

Prime meeting Ali by close UD \ SD.
Ali didn't have the one punch KO power to stop Lewis and no way does Lewis burn himself out like Foreman.
This. Would be a great bout.

Not saying I disagree, but when did you ever see Lewis outboxed?
I agree with ICB on this one BIG. Lewis was never outboxed over 12 rounds but he never fought anyone as good as Ali either. Frank Bruno, Evander and Vitali all caused problems that make me think Ali would pick him apart over 12 or 15 rounds. Not saying any of them fight anything like Ali, just that if they can cause Lennox so many problems then Ali would figure out a method to pick Lewis apart.
Re: Would Ali KO Lewis a little FASTER than he did Foreman?
Ali beats Lewis on points.
Lewis beats foreman on points.

I personally think Foreman Brutally KO's Lewis
Re: Would Ali KO Lewis a little FASTER than he did Foreman?
1970-76 Foreman BRUTALLY KOs Lewis. Left hook to the liver. Monster right uppercut. If McCall made him sleep. Foreman would commit a homicide.

He had underrated power though check out his KO of Folley, Bonavena, Lyle, ETC.
I agree with this post ICB. I'd like to add another name to that list though and some may see it as controversial but I've seen this punch about 5 thousand times and you can clearly see the snot get knocked out of Listons face. I am of course talking about the "Phantom" punch.

yeah that is a real punch, Ive seen it only about 2,000 times, but yes you can see Liston's skull really get jarred, it was a jarring shot, Ali called it "The Anchor Punch". Dont think ol' Lennox could swallow that one.
