Re: Rate these heavyweights in terms of the opposition that they beat.
Alright here's what I came up with... Based solely on quality of oppostion they beat.
Ali
Johnson
Fraizer
Foreman
Evander
Marciano
Dempsey
Lewis
Tyson
Liston
Holmes
Wladdy
Vitaly

;D I'd love to see your rational of having Marciano above Lewis

I left Vitali out and Foreman, amazing but that was due to competition and successful fights.

Joe Frazier

Wladimir Klitchko
Mike Tyson

Rocky Marciano
I also take into consideration the manner in which they beat the opposition that they beat .
I must also add that this is a very flawed system of ranking since it doesn't take into consideration the opposition that beat them and its own manner .
Saying Lennox Lewis beat Vitali Klitschko doesn't count .
Saying Lennox Lewis beat Oliver McCall doesn't count .
Saying Vitali Klitschko beat Ross Puritty doesn't count .
Saying Evander Holyfiled beat Bert Cooper doesn't count .
Saying Michael Moorer beat Bert Cooper doesn't count .
Where are Riddick Bowe , Corrie Sanders and Oliver McCall ? they were champions weren't they ?
But , going by my understanding of the thread starter's criteria , here it is :
Mike Tyson : Berbick,Holmes,Spinks,Fergusson,Thomas,Tubbs,Bruno *2,Etienne,Seldon,Ruddock*2,,
Evander Holyfield : Douglas,Tyson,Moorer,Thomas(*),Tillis(*),Dokes,Til lman,Qawi
Lennox Lewis : Bruno,Ruddock,Tucker(*),Golota,Rahman,
George Foreman : Frazier*2,Chuvalo,Lyle,Cooper,Moorer
Wladimir : McCline,Byrd*2,Rahman,Peters,Austin,Thompson,Barre tt,Brock
Frazier : Ellis*2,Doug Jones,Ali,
Ali : Lyle,Ellis,Bonavena,Patterson*2(*2)
Vitali : Sanders,Peters,Gomez,Hide,
Sonny Liston : Patterson*2,Zora Folley,Marty Marshall
Larry Holmes : Ossie Ocassio ,Gerrie Cooney, Mike Weaver
Jack Dempsey : Gene Tunney,Jess Willard,
Jack Johnson : Jeanette,
Rocco Marchegiano : Roland LaStarza
I disagree that Charles&Cream and probably even Wright don't count for Marchegiano , but I went according 2d rulez
disclaimer : it is possible that I forgot a few , however , most of the times when it seems like it , it actually is d "doesn't count" case .
Re: Rate these heavyweights in terms of the opposition that they beat.
So are we just going off Heavyweight for Holyfeild just wondering keep seeing people include cruiserweight. If we are going by who they beat then i got Ali,Lewis,Holyfeild,Foreman,Holmes,Tyson,Marciono, Frazier, Bowie, Vitali,Wald, Liston, Louis. Brown bomber was king for a while but his defences are full of bums worse then the crop now he had a bum of the month club for god sake. Lewis was king in the best era besides Ali's and if we count Holyfeild cw i would put him above Lewis if we did.
