Re: Miguel Cotto has split with Emmanuel Steward
Diaz is an intriguing choice though; master of the physical conditionning, mastermind behind the success of the cuban powerhouse including the legendary Felix Savon. Seriously, the more I think about it, the more I think that Diaz can work well for Cotto, perhaps his approach will be more suited than the Kronk Style and sure, Diaz has seen a lot before. Manny is Manny, a legend but Diaz is quite a master. The only thing that worries me is the switch so fast but hey, what do I know about Cotto's adaptability.
Re: Miguel Cotto has split with Emmanuel Steward
Honestly, I think its bit late or close to a fight for him to switch trainers. Last time he did this, he lost to pacman. There is not enough time for he and his new trainer to blend and develop this mutual relationship. I think Stewart gave him discipline that he never had when he was trained by his father and friend. He is training yes, but he still calls the shots, so its like he's training himself.
