What do you think of Kimbo vs that 52 year ex con who fought last night?
I'd watch.
That would be interesting however I think Dewey is also gonna milk this for what it's worth... He's already been on national tv and is accepted and admired by a lot of sports media. Don't think they will face him vs. anyone with a good/decent record just yet.
Not sure if you know the whole story on him but it's pretty fucked up...
Anywho this is him at the ESPN awards receiving an award for his courage.

Great natural flowing speech, I hope his dreams continue.

I hope they keep feeding him bums, I like watching the massive KO's he does against them.
Watching him blowing out his ass after 4 rounds just doesn't have the same appeal. I'm sure he will be calling out world title holders soon though!
So is the overall impression that Kimbo Slice is like Shannon Briggs but without the six round stamina?
Shannon Briggs !?
Kimbo is a nice guy and making the most of what he's got, but Shannon Briggs has more talent in his pinky finger than Kimbo does in his whole body.
Kimbo could have 30 straight KO's over bums and then you could match him against Shannon Briggs and he still wouldn't make it out of the first round.
I don't see how you can even compare the two in terms of boxing ability, power, talent etc.

The great thing about comparisons is that anyone can be compared to anyone, whether they are similar or not!
They both have questionable stamina, which is where I made the comparison. I'll branch into power, as both have shown a KO punch, though Slice is at a very different part of his boxing career.

I get the stamina comparison as I assume you are exaggerting and taking a dig at Briggs for his "asthma".
But, as far as both fighters are concerned one is a novice and novelty act and one is/was a world class heavyweight boxer. And former titlist.
Re: Kimbo Slice 2nd pro fight... 2nd brutal KO! (video)
I like Kimbo and hope he es well in his career. I don't care one bit that he is nowhere near world class, he's still a fun cartoon type character and can provide an enjoyable few minutes worth of entertainment.
It would be great if he was good enough to get a few six rounders on big fight undercards. Who cares if he could be ko'd by a top level fighter, most of the little flyweights could be ko'd by half the men in the audience.
He draws a crowd, and is a fun watch. Boxing is about entertainment at the end of the day and having Kimbo fight on the undercard would liven up most fightcards imo.
Not yet of course. He needs to get a few wins first and prove he is semi decent, like Butterbean, Tye Fields etc. Say what you like about those kinds of guys they will draw more people to boxing than a Fres Oquendo, Yusaf Mack, Dominik Guinn type fighter even though they are clearly far better fighters.

if by that you mean the entire HW division theeeeeeeeeeeeen no.....
name one fighter in the top 10 that the Klits haven't whooped, and whoever is left will be dispatched by the end of 2012
either way back to Kimbo his movement is horrible, he's slow on his feet, weak head movement and trying to act like he's Tyson, Holyfield of today would kill this guy, hell give Mercer another crack at him with only boxing and he'll avenge that freak of a fake fight they had

I agree with ya on Holyfield and Mercer. Also might I add Oliver McCall to the mix.
