On those scales Bush and Blair dwarf anything someone like Gaddafi has ever done. And let's not fool ourselves regarding elections. The British public was firmly against the war in Iraq. And America is a democracy? Sure, it is. You can vote once every five years for two parties and both represent largely the same evil. In many respects Obama himself is a dictator. We just use more subtle methods in the west and actively torture those at places like Guantanamo or 'secret' locations scattered around the world.
