Re: Joshua Clottey is BACK !!!
Clottey's performance, or the lack of it vs Manny Pacquiao was severely admonished in the Ghanaian media by Ghana's former three-time world champion in the featherweight-super-featherweight weight classes, Azumah Nelson.
He was shocked, upset, and was highly critical at the lack of purpose shown that night in March of 2010 by Joshua Clottey in his fight with the PacMan. Nelson couldn't get around the fact that his fellow Ghanaian, Clottey was even the contender in that duel.
Nelson felt that Joshua did not rise to the occassion, his fierceness atop the ring was lacking, and was too timid and subdued allowing for a mockery of the sport. Surely, when viewed through the eyes of a real warrior, tried and truly tested, like the former champ Azumah Nelson, this was a foregone conclusion.
Does Joshua Clottey deserve another stab at stardom? The few who will relent are the same ones who will repent.
Cast in stone, once pussified, stays pussified!

Harsh.
Re: Joshua Clottey is BACK !!!
Harsh? Maybe, but Rant... indicators are that this isn't even half as harsh as how HBO and Top Rank honcho, Bob Arum have laid it on him after that fiasco of a fight.
On the spot, HBO stripped him for any future "showcase" gigs...and am pretty sure Mr. Top Rank's levy had a thing or two to do with that!
Meanwhile, Joshua must've been a good boy as of late, as he now finds himself back on the groove with HBO and Top Rank... however lowly-leveled his current billing now is.

Harsh.
It's called "accountability", and I'm all for it.
Re: Joshua Clottey is BACK !!!
Yeah Clottely has a lot of redeeming to do before I'll start taking notice
