Re: I'm not clamoring for a PAC-PBF anymore
I have never seen a trilogy get so bent over... Mayweather is a dick but he has never left even a question except an injury against Castillo that he rectified in his career.
Pac got bitten and wounded against his own spoon fed opponent. I guarantee Mayweather is doing roadwork right now to squash the myth of top rank
Re: I'm not clamoring for a PAC-PBF anymore
Floyd will school Pac. I've said it since day 1!!
Re: I'm not clamoring for a PAC-PBF anymore
Checking in as someone who has ALWAYS said floyd would school pac.

Re: I'm not clamoring for a PAC-PBF anymore
Pac is clearly past his prime IMO, the fight has lost lots of its lustre for me. Thought Mayweather would win when they first started talking about it, thought Pac would win after the Cotto fight, Mayweather definitely takes it now though.

Uh ohhhhhh here come the excuses for Pac's loss already..."He was past his prime when Mayweather beat him" LOL
I too think he gets stopped against Money..not least because of his under rated power. People seem to think he fights with feather dusters on but he just isn't as offensive and combo-centric as he used to be when knocking guys out. Pacquiao is just gonna be running into big right hands all night.
Re: I'm not clamoring for a PAC-PBF anymore
After tonight more than ever I am convinced that Manny cannot dictate the pace and type of fight against PBF. I doubt PBF will KO Manny simply b/c I don't think he will choose to stay that engaged. As usual he will pick and choose his moments to a solid UD. Manny will have some moments early on similar to ODH and Mosely but once PBF gets in his groove it will be an utter shut out.
Re: I'm not clamoring for a PAC-PBF anymore
pacquiao might even be past his peds and marquez be past his prime

I've said Manny has been on the downhill since the Margarito fight and said he was definitely past it after the Mosley fight.
Re: I'm not clamoring for a PAC-PBF anymore
I think we saw the first signs of wear and tear on Pacquaio, he has had many more wars than PBF, plus he has his business interests distracting him. Pacman was not the same fighter as he was against DLH, Hatton and Cotto. Marquez just might be his 'kryptonite', but i see a fighter slowing down and the time is right for PBF to pick the carcass. If PBF fought Pacman between 2008-2010 i would say Pac wins easily. I think PBF gets an easy decision if they meet next year. Pacquaio has 2 fights left in him and he can take $20 million taking either PBF or returning for a 4th Marquez fight. Either way i think 2012 sees Pacquaio out.

Victories over Barrera and Morales are more impressive than anything Mayweather has done, and I'd argue that by comprehensively beating Cotto and Margarito matches anything Mayweather has accomplished at 147.
Not just a mayweather fan but a boxing fan.
Wake up and smell and the injections fella, how can you compare pbf history to pacs?
Pac got schooled by morrales and beaten by marquez three times and thats not including the other two losses.
Try to see beyond the ben johnson and marion jones aura that pac has and realise he is a very good fighter but the cramping in the legs excuse is not going to work anymore.
Mug.
Mayweather's best victories do not come close to equally Pacquiao's. Would Mayweather have beaten the type of opposition Pacquiao fought? Almost certainly, but he didn't fight them.
Furthermore, Mayweather has fought intermittently and cherry-picked his opponents since moving to 147 while Pacquiao has beaten the best in the division.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. is one of the most talent fighters to ever lace up the gloves, but he's a business man first, a very good one, and his resume indicates as much.
Even if he fights and beats Pacquaio, which he will, Mayweather is always going to be a fighter that is talked about in terms of what might have been.

Pac would most likely have never beaten Floyd...let alone easily. You must be out of your mind. He is a limited fighter. His physical prowess has been able to mask that fact...but he gets completely exposed against technical, smart counter punchers. The guy is just so easy to hit...a porous defense big time. You say he is not the same fighter he was against DLH, Hatton, and Cotto?!! Sorry buddy...those fighters are not the same caliber as Marquez (you can argue that a prime Oscar was...but we all no Oscar was WAY past prime against Pac). Roach and company picked the perfect fighters recently for Pac to look good against...and they had banked on Marquez's age and coming up in weight to seal his fate. They got proven wrong big time. Floyd is much faster than Marquez, and even a better counter puncher, the best defense in the sport, and the smartest fighter in the business hands down. This, or any other version of Pac, would not stand a chance. Roach needs to pick some more washed up, come forward fighters for Manny to look good against.
Re: I'm not clamoring for a PAC-PBF anymore
I'm wondering what other fighters are saying. Ring legends like RJJ, B-Hop, Manny steward and Hagler. More importantly, what are Pacman's pass victims are saying
Cotto, "I know I can whop JMM, and he gave Pacman HELL! The Margarito must of took a lot out of me.
Hatton, "Did I retire to soon? I could have fought JMM. Then again, nothing like smoking, 'FUCK IT'!
Mosley, "I know I got a better chin then JMM and Pacman made me forget rounds 3 thru 8. Pacman didn't use in that fight, but he use when he whopped my ass"
Clottey, "I can't believe I was afraid to throw punches! I gotta get back in the ring"
Morales, "That wasn't the same dude that made me NO MAS! I wonder if anyone would like to see JMM vs me? I got a title again!
Martinez, "He'll never fight me now!"
Ortiz, "I might of had a better chance against Manny. O well, Floyd KO that idea"
