Now that's just outright wrong. I know marquez got robbed here but belittling marquez by saying he's a pensioner (no idea who the other "pensioners" are) doesn't do any good to the sport. I know you don't like manny but there's just so many contradictions in your post it's weird. Martinez being a pensioner too? I mean.. wtf bro. What's up with the hate on pensioners?
Now i'm confused as to what a "model" is to you. Certainly it's not a pensioner. No model pensioners for you eh?
Re: That is perhaps the Biggest robbery I've ever seen!
its the biggest one for me ive seen live, martinez kod and schooled cintron but that wasnt as big a stage and well he got a draw at least out of it...so yeah this biggest robbery i seen live
Re: That is perhaps the Biggest robbery I've ever seen!
i don't agree with considering it like a switch, everyone thinks that boxers are either in their prime or out of them, i think the process of age and wear and tear are more gradual than suddenly being out or in his prime, from the way of beating anyone to the point of having the capacity to lose to nobodies repeatedly, for every boxer. I just think that marquez trained very well this time but this doesn't prove he is in his prime, this means that if he had trained like this in the past he would had beaten pacquiao, this means that for me marquez has more merit than pacquiao in this fight no matter if he was robbed or not.
And about martinez, he is like 37, you might think that he is at the best moment but i dont buy that, i think that the only fact that he has that age means he is probably diminished compared to when he was 28, no matter if he didnt lose vs barker but you forget what happened to mosley? They always said that he was at his best vs margarito and he wasnt
To summarize, a pensioner isn't a pensioner only when he loses a lot, but gradually, and i mean gradually he becomes one with age, wear and tear, and if he doesnt lose even when he is a pensioner, he has an enormous merit, like marquez at 38, so all my admiration is for marquez and nothing for pacquiao in the last fight
Re: That is perhaps the Biggest robbery I've ever seen!
It was a criminal act by top rank and the judges.
This robbery was one of thw worst of the decade along with casa-santa cruz..
Re: That is perhaps the Biggest robbery I've ever seen!
If everyone can just stop hyperventilating for a moment and take a deep breath, calm down and realistically assess the fight. It was not a robbery, it was a close fight that went Pacquaio's way. I had it 115-113 for Pacman, it could easily have been the other way round for me as i gave two very close rounds to Pacman and it was a flip of the coin. I expected Marquez to actually get the decision, but was not surprised when it went Pacquaio as i had him winning anyway. Why the vitriol towards Pacman? This was no Whitaker V Chavez decision or a DLH V Trinidad decision. It was a close call and Pacquaio won, let them do it again in May if they want too. For some bizarre reason the Manny Pacquaio of the past 3 years didn't turn up for this fight? That's my only criticisim.

I had JMM winning it 115-113, but I wasn't surprised Pac took it. And of course like I've said on page 1, whitaker-chavez now that was a robbery. I think the Vitriol against Pac came with a lot of people wanted JMM to win, and many people felt he was "robbed" in the last 2 fights, then factor in JMM as a sentimental favorite, factor in Pac's many idiotic fans, then factor in a close fight, then you have a robbery outcry.
I've noticed something, the people calling it a robbery and blasting Pac were the same people that blasted him before this fight. Coincidence? I think not.

I admire the post just because you didnt trow all the blames on pacman.
Im a pac fan, and i truly believe he lost the fight to marquez. Its hard to accept at first, but in my view, I see him loosing to marquez by 2-3 points, and in my view, it was a clear marquez victory. But then again, it was -- in my perspective, coming from my vantage point in from of the TV and from the camera's and replays of HBO.
Pacman was loved because he fought gallantly every fight. With this, i dont think he should be hated from head to foot simply because 2 judges thought he won the fight vs marquez. You can play around with ideas of bribes, corruption, NSAC thinking about the economic factor of pac-money fight, or considering the market value of pac and marquez, or whatever else is out there.... But keep in mind to appreciate 2 brave men who fought a clean fight, although the ending stinks like the rotten fish.
I feel for marquez. Clearly he was the winner. He will be remembered as the man who beat a prime pacman.
for pacman, i cant blame him for the scores by the judges. It wasnt his fault. But i think he could have done better on the ring.
As for the conclusion, it sucks.
I wish they will fight again. These two men defines what it is to become a fighter.
I just hope we get the better judges next time.
Pacman won the fight on the record.
Marquez won the hearts of many.
Boxing fan lost again, and again...

Pacman has many detractors on here, he has taken out everyone's favourite fighter of the past 10 years and this pisses people off. Marquez has been unlucky that's all, robbed no. I think he fought his best fight since the last loss to Pacquaio in 2008, perhaps he just saves himself up for the Pacman? At the end of the day you have to take the title away from the champion and Marquez just failed to do that. It was close and maybe they should go at it again, PBF is still stalling waiting for Pacman to get old, well i think that is beginning to happen.
