Re: What people with low boxing iqs say....
I dont think i've ever heard "he deserved to win" due to things outside of a fight. When i hear that it's usually due to what has happened in the fight.
I made a whole thread about it but when a fighter is considered boring because he "Hits and doesnt get hit" aka - boxing. This surely demonstrates the biggest lack of boxing IQ? lol I understand a fight being boring but not a fighter who dominates with superior skills

Re: What people with low boxing iqs say....
i strongly agree with everything they have said, except ignoring (completely) the power of the skin structure
also low iq: when saying an x all time boxer will beat a y all time boxer based only in their level of fame in their era or ignoring styles and attributes or comparing wrong similarities. Very seen in many fans of boxers from x country or x personality
Re: What people with low boxing iqs say....
Generalities always drive my bat shit.
Fighter A has always been dirty....has never been hurt or down....has won nearly every round and dominated etc etc. Unless you've seen a guy from start to finish it's mostly group think.
"He has no heart" or "he just quit"......hate it with a passion.

You nailed it, bro...... group think. And BTW... those generalities also rub me the wrong way. They're mostly wrong and misinformed. Too easy to throw generalities around.

"Oh I dont know how you can sit and watch two people beat themselves senseless."
:( I tell em its like trying to play chess while being beaten with a paddle.
Re: What people with low boxing iqs say....
MMA is closer to "street fighting" than boxing is :vd: ......(as everyone quietly thinks back to the glory of Kimbo Slice)
"Boxing is dead" or "Boxing needs this fight to be saved"
Oddly enough I've heard/read that second quote from actual boxing writers
